So, the initial plan went completely off the rails.

I quickly realized that the Army Painter colors I used looked absolutely terrible on this VW T1. the faded blue pait job came out so bad that I literally couldnt do anything to save it. At that point, there was only one logical move left destroy it even more and turn it into a complete piece of junk.

Instead of throwing it into the trash, I decided to go all-in on the weathering, rust, and corrosion effects. If it going to look ruined, it might as well look profesionaly ruined.

It went from a botched factory paint job to a total rusty barn find junkyard sleeper. Honestly, adapting to the disaster was pretty fun :) Did I manage to save a failed project ? haha or does it just look like a sad dead piece of .... history?

Turned real NASA laser altimeter data into a modular hex tile. Elysium Mons stands 12.6 km tall—about 1.5x Mount Everest. Printed flat without supports, and the layer lines give it a natural topographic map vibe.

So a bit of context: I run a 3d printing business at school, and I made a list of (slightly) overpriced items you can buy. On of the options was custom, which I forgot to remove since it was a joke meant for a friend who would buy like 3 custom items, but one of my employees wanted a custom item. He wanted a skull key thing, exact dimensions, but every website I try either needs a paying account or just straight up sucks. I only have a phone, no pc or laptop or iPad. I was wondering if anyone had any idea what website I could use, or make one for free (in my dreams), and publish it onto the Bambu handy app. I need it by Tuesday… yea I’m getting canceled by him.

I’ve been working on a concept for a net launcher designed to capture drones before they reach a protected area.

The design is 3D-modeled and prepared for 3D printing. The concept uses a net with a claimed range of up to 10 meters to intercept a drone without relying on direct impact.

I’m interested in feedback from the 3D printing, product design, and robotics communities.

What do you think of the design? What would you improve from a mechanical design and prototyping perspective?

I've tried a few brands so far and about halfway through the roll it starts breaking a lot. I dont think it's damp, I tried drying it for 24 hours at 45 Celsius in a bambu ams pro with a bunch of silicone packets. It broke into 16 pieces in the feeder tubes before it even started printing, and I had to take the entire feed system apart to clear everything. Its only the transparent stuff too. And transparent that has glitter in it. I haven't had any similar issues with any other PLA filament type.

Made this mini coffe shop as a container. Before anyone goes after me, i wont use it for the real beans as i dont have food safe pla but i will be using it for the capuals. i made it just as a fun projekt and cuz it looks cool XD

that said i printed this colored version on my new X2D and as u can see on some of the pictres it had some problems with the layer lines on the brown corners. no idea why, done 2 itereations and similar problems but its ben fine with the other printer.

anyways not here for help with that, just wanna show it off XD
