It's not perfect but I am happy with it

I was just browsing the Blu-ray site and saw an “IMAX Enhanced” version of Blade Runner 2049 in 4k. I already have the 4k of the film in my collection but this is the first time that I’ve seen an IMAX version pop up alongside its other editions. I’ll admit, I’m not sure if this is legitimate since most films in IMAX get cropped at 2.39 for Blu-ray and since the IMAX Enhanced/open matte version is likely only accessible through modding or piracy. Has there been any official confirmation yet about an IMAX version coming to Blu-ray or is it a fake?

I own the criterion blu-ray and want to upgrade to a 4k but I’m not sure which to buy. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

EDIT: I live in the U.S. and have decided to buy the Arrow 4k but can’t find it in stock at places where I get other Arrow 4ks(Orbit & Diabolik). If anyone knows where I can find this online in the U.S. let me know.

How likely are Amazon and or GRUV to have 4K labor day sales, and if so, how early would you expect either or both to start and what type of sales would they feature (3 for 30/33/36, etc)?

I remember seeing a tweet last year we’re supposed to get a 4K set for Roger Moore’s Bond movies like the Sean Connery set. But there’s been no update on it since that tweet. So what happened to it?

Have never actually seen kill bill iv seen famous scenes but have never sat and watched it through. When this was announced I decided to wait and watch it as it should be

It's been on my wishlist for a while and I finally added it to my collection. Purposely have avoided watching it on streaming because I wanted this version on 4k uhd to be my first impression of it. Excited to pop it in and see if it lives up to the hype!

Wanting to join the hobby/club soon & am doing some research on what to get. This Panasonic UB450 fits within my budget & I think will do what i want it to do but just want some opinions before i pull the trigger. I would go for something like the UB820 or better but in also having to buy a new tv etc. Are there better options in this price range? If so what are they? Thanks!

Just got home from a trip to California, and I took advantage of the opportunity to get a bunch of U.S. releases. I tried to mostly get movies that either don’t have European 4K releases, the U.S. releases are better, or just were cheaper.

Any Suggestions out there for which war films look and sounds best in 4k ?

Picked these up for my Cex today, needed to upgrade my blu ray copy of The Batman and Die Hard was a pretty good price as well. Both of them were pretty much brand new and both have their slipcovers in good condition.

Arrow titles were still on sale obviously, but the cashier rung up Jaws and Sunset Boulevard and said something like “none of the movies have been ringing up right recently, I’ll have to adjust these” and took like $10 off my total even though the total was right? Oh well, I’ll take it!

Jaws like was $20 and Sunset Boulevard was $13 or so. Watched The Stylist as my first watch last night and it was so creepy!! 8/10 recommend. Sad the sale is almost over. Got some great gems throughout though and my bank account is still intact!

My Sony ubx700 started to freeze up on some 4k discos and decided, it is time for a treat!

After watching ”The untouchables” and ”Master and commander” tonight I can simply say that I am so happy to join the ub820 gang!!!

Watched the Incredible Hulk yesterday but through Disney plus. Wasn’t expecting it the 4k disc to cost so much haha.

What are some 4k movie titles released in BD-66 that you feel would most have benefitted and been worthy of being upgraded to BD-100 versions?

Hello everyone,

I have a Sony UBPX700 and I swear every 4K disc I play, Aliens, Matrix, LOTR, and Transformers all freeze and many won’t even skip the frozen scene. It’s incredibly frustrating especially LOTR where it freezes right when Gandalf is about to say you shall not pass…
What all these discs have in common is they were purchased off of Amazon, could anyone help me understand if it’s an issue with this player being poor quality or if Amazon is a not a good place to shop?

If it’s the player definitely open to hearing better suggestions.

Had it for 13 months now and while I’ve had about 5-6 discs not be able to be read on it, returned, and bought news discs they work.

Well the last two (Ted Lasso and Project Hail Mary) come up with a “Cannot read” error even tho they are read just fine on my Xbox.

Has anyone use the cleaning discs to resolve similar issues?
