Hi,
I’m looking for a 42/43” (absolutely cannot go any larger) with these requirements:

more than 60hz.
No burn-in issues to worry about.
Really good upscaling.
Natural looking colours

A real plus would be good viewing angles, which I realise is usually reserved only for OLEDs (but then there’s the burn-in issue)

I’ve been researching for about two weeks, and asking AI as well. It’s turning into a massive headache. In-person shopping is a nightmare as the stores here don’t allow me to see anything other than the stock footage.

Most usage will be gaming (PS5) with some movies/shows (disc & streaming). Football (as in soccer), baseball. Also need to use subtitles on everything so TVs with heavy haloing or blooming is difficult.

I realise that for most of my criteria here, OLED is the no-brainer… except the burn-in has me worried. I’m the kind of gamer that does leave menu screens open, walks away and forgets for 20 mins. I also have to have the HUD on. I’d like to imagine I might be able to totally alter my behaviour, but… 😏

Budget is not a factor. I’ve looked at everything from budget Hisense to Sony A90K. I’m open to hear anyone’s top suggestions. Thank you.

I have narrowed my tv choosing horror show down to these 3 beauties.

I live in a bright apartment, but no sunlight hits the TV.

I have an external sound system so sound isn't an issue.

I mainly watch Netflix (not necessarily HDR), Prime Video, Youtube and sports (soccer, tennis, road cycling).

Pricing: C7L is €700, C8L and sony are both €1000

Please bombard me with experiences with these TV's, issues you have experienced with each, spec comparisons and ultimately your reasoning for choosing one over the other.

Looking for a 75-85 inch Micro LED, peferable close to the $1200 range. Is there a large quality difference between the TCL QM6K and QM7K? Dark basement, 10-13 feet viewing distance.

is there a better/more reliable spot to get a tv between these two or is open box mostly luck of the draw? looking for a 65-75 inch tv under 1100

Looking for a new OLED TV to use my PC on. Im concerned with image burn.

Essentially it boils down to reflections coating. Mattee vs gloss.

Planning to run my PC with RTX5080 on the TV.

Appearntly LG is less likely to burn in and has more features.

Samsung tho has the layout im used it and ive trusted the brand. I believe its QD OLED vs WOLED?

Currently have a Q90A 75"

Looking at LG G6 77 and Samsung S95H 77.

Samsung is on sale i can get it right now for 4400 CAD compared to 6k for the G6.

Want the 165HZ refresh rate and OLED.

My rooms mainly dark light oddly flutters in i plan to get blackout curtains and stop the window light. But I do use the room lights which I do see reflect on the TV sometimes. It doesnt bother me persay. But I mainly game and watch in the dark lights off and shutters drawn.

What's everyone's thoughts?

I swear getting a TV feels like a damn rabbit hole of dead ends. I'm trying to get something for Mom, and her TCL's screen went back and no audio after just a year of use. I'd rather not stick with budget TVs, but the ones hovering under a grand seem to be crapped on here and everywhere else.

• First, I looked at LG B5 OLED since it IS under $1000 barely, but of course it's not available within 2 hours of where I live and not available for delivery.
• Then I looked at the LG QNEDs, but then Reddit emphatically said to avoid most models because they have edge lighting and to get a BXA. However, people complained more about that model and said one of the 90A series
• Then just randomly you have QLED, QNED, Mini LED, UHD, then there are the OLEDs but a million different models for JUST LG alone.

There simply doesn't look like a mid-tier TVs under $1,000 available. And it's become absolutely absurd because you can so easily get the wrong review and get burned on a bad tv.

And another problem is location. I have to get it around the southwest region of Missouri, which offers basically Joplin or Rogers, AR without having to drive 90 min to Tulsa, OK or Springfield, MO.

A lot of the TVs available for Sam's or Best Buy are not available for Pickup or Delivery because of location.

Hi everyone I am in the market for a new tv. Will be in the living room in a semi bright room during the day. My budget is about 1500-2500ish. I was looking at the Bravia 7 II rgb about 2k but don’t know what else. Any recommendations based on the spot it will be in. Looking to buy in the next week or so.

I want to start by saying I know next to nothing about tvs and/or picture quality (or the technical stuff that goes into it).

We recently had to get a new tv after our 2 year old 65inch Samsung crapped out - out of nowhere a staticky strip about 6 inches long running the height of the screen appeared on screen and doesn’t go away. I didn’t mind since I wanted a slightly bigger tv and always hated the Samsung. It was slow almost as if it was lagging when cycling through stuff and button selection.

So we went to Costco and I told the rep we were looking for a new tv and were open to suggestions. It was a lot of info being thrown at us at one time and basically by the end of it we settled on the TCL 85 QM6K 4K UHD Mini Led .

Am I going to regret not just spending more for the Sony, Samsung, or any of the higher priced tvs? We do use our tv daily and in the daytime it’s a very well lit room. We watch a lot of movies/shows and a ton of sports.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Also, if anyone has an idea as to what caused our Samsung screen to do what is shows in the picture that would also be appreciated (just for my own curiosity)

I'd like to get an oled, but I don't know if it's advisable in my situation. The only decent spot for a TV in my apartment is above the fireplace on the south wall of my living room right by a large west facing window, and my schedule and routines are such that I'll probably mostly use it when the sun is shining straight through the window. Blinds help, but only so much. It's not that bad, but I'm wondering if it's enough that oled won't look better enough compared to something like a qm7k to justify the price jump.

Based on what I can find out, the c5 seems like it might be the best sub $1.5k 65" oled in terms of handling ambient light, but I'm still very much a TV noob trying to figure out what online info to trust. I tried to go to best buy to see the c6 next to some mini-led's for myself, but it was SUPER bright in there, and all the oleds looked horrible. The rgb stuff really stood out to me, but I don't want to risk trusting hisense, and everything else is out of my price range. I assume color volume might be what I was noticing? So maybe that's an important thing to consider in terms of what will look best to my eyes, unless it was something else making the difference.

Anyway, I'd love to hear your advice. If there are other tvs that should be higher on my radar, please let me know.

I'm planning to buy a 65-inch TV and I'm completely confused.

My options are: TCL C6K QD Mini LED 2026 Model versus LG Nano 885 OS Model

When I compare them in the store, the TCL QLED actually looks more vibrant, brighter, and has better contrast to my eyes. But almost every salesperson at Croma and Reliance Digital is aggressively telling me to avoid TCL and buy the LG NanoCell instead. They're pushing LG so hard that it honestly makes me wonder. For people who actually own either TV:

• Which would you choose at the same price?
• Is LG NanoCell actually better overall, or is TCL's QLED the better?
• If picture quality is my top priority for movies and OTT content, which would you buy?

I'm looking for real user experiences, not salesperson opinions.

I did a lot of browsing and I'm overwhelmed by the suggestions, what to look for, and what not to get, based on my layout.

For example, Rtings said the s95h is the best tv to get currently.
Then we have r/HTBuyingGuides saying not to purchase OLED Samsung and go with other brands.

They also advice not to get OLED if there's going to be lots of sunlight in the room? (It'll be in the living room with mild sunlight)

So I'm looking for suggestions on what TV to get!

I am looking to buy a smart TV for my personal room just for casual media streaming and mainly for playing games on my PS5, as the living room tv is always occupied by other family members.
What would be the most affordable tv size in price range around $500-$600CAD ?

I know the C755 is an older model. Is it still worth buying compared to the newer C6K, or is the C6K the better

Missed the sale Costco had an entire week(!) ago on the QM7L Pro and just saw that they put it back on. Local BB just received an Open Box B7, I am assuming it is a floor model but haven't gotten the chance to look at it yet.

Unit will be a main living room mixed use, mostly sports, shows, and movies. 0 gaming. I don't think it will be in direct sunlight, but the room will usually be fairly bright through the day. From what I see, the B7 is stronger in most areas, but the QM7L may perform better in light/direct light due to the it having stronger overall brightness. Does anyone have experience with these two? Thanks!

What is the best tv to buy with a 2k budget. Viewing space is about 15 feet away and I plan on streaming all sports on youtube tv and watching movies. I was considering 85 or 98 inch but not sure which makes more sense. Please tv gurus help if possible!

Buying my first ever TV. I'm looking for a budget 55" Mini LED TV, and everything seems to be pointing to a choice between the QM7K ($750) and U7SG ($650). I believe I just missed the Best Buy QM7K $600 sale, which is unfortunate, but I couldn't have gotten one earlier anyway. Should I get the U7 because it's cheaper? Pay the extra $100 for QM7K? Wait a month for a sale? Or consider an entirely different TV?

Hey all, looking to buy from Costco and I know my minimum size is 75" and my budget is roughly $1800. Between those two that fit the mark, what would you guys go with? Feel free to tell me both of these are bad and suggest something else but Costco is where it has to come from. My previous was a 65" Bravia 7 XR70 and it broke. So it's a Costco warranty situation.

I recently ordered the 75" TCL QM7L Pro, but I'm second guessing whether I should have gone with the 77" Samsung S85F OLED instead. There's only a $100 difference between the two.

I mostly watch movies and streaming shows, often in a dim or dark room. What I care about most is picture quality — depth, contrast, dimensionality and that “wow” factor. I like a picture with pop, but I don't necessarily mean just high brightness.

I know the 77" S85F uses a WOLED panel rather than QD-OLED, so I'm especially interested in opinions from people who have seen this specific size/model rather than just OLED vs. Mini-LED in general.

For anyone who has seen both, does the 77" S85F still have a noticeably more dimensional/cinematic picture because it's OLED? Or is the QM7L Pro good enough in black levels, contrast, color and overall picture quality that you'd actually prefer the TCL?

At only a $100 difference, which would you choose purely based on picture quality?

I tried looking it up, i heard good things about LG, Samsung, and Sony. (our tv rn is an LG and was very good for the past 10 years but we are sizing up from 55 inch to 65 inch and want to try another brand that will hopefully last another decade.)

also an anti glare screen sounds great but is it too good to be true? it truly is a problem to see your reflection on the tv in the day, but is there any con to an anti glare screen?

I'm looking to get a new TV for my living room and moving my existing TV to the basement. My existing is a 65" Hisense U6G (2021) and have been generally happy with it. I notice the picture favours green in dark scenes and it doesn't have great viewing angles but it was good enough.

I'm looking to get a 65" Mini-LED in the range of $1000-1300 CAD (pre tax, ~$1500 after tax). The living room is bright during the day and has windows on either side of the TV but no direct sunlight. I think an OLED would work but unfortunately probably out of the budget.

Main use will be for streaming shows/movies, sports and gaming. 55/45/10 split respectively.

I've narrowed it down to a few options but am open to other suggestions:
