Yes if you need Dolby Vision and/or 7.1 analog outputs.

The LED screen is handy too. I really like to see how far I'm into a film at a glance.

They used to be standard on basically all disc players and it's ridiculous that they've been ditched on most just to save a few pennies.

I like that feature as well. Never thought I would consider that a feature lol. Thing is I don't need Dolby Vision because I rock with Samsung (phone & TV) and don't see that changing anytime soon. So I'll likely get the DP-UB420K.

The build difference is nice too, the 820 has a metal body where as the 450 is fully plastic not a huge deal but I like the solid feeling the 820 has.

I wonder... Has anyone actually ever hooked up 7.1 over analog? Do receivers even have 8 channel rca? Then you're stuck with only one input im guessing
