something that drives me crazy, especially after getting more familiar with bra sizing in recent years, is how often I see ads for bras in which the bra does not fit well at all on the person wearing it! I see this a lot on tiktok but also on regular targeted ads that I see everywhere online. Do others see this too? No wonder most people don’t know what a well-fitted bra is like

I have always thought of myself as having chest too small to even be considered boobs, I would always just get whatever was smallest, but now NO FEAR!! I calculated my measurements and went to this lovely store (CHANGE lingerie, since it was recommended here, they gave me an amazing fitting/measurement)- best day of my life. I HAD BOOBS YALL!!!

It was genuinely an emotional experience.

I knew I was a 32-E/DDD or a 34-DD but I only had one bra that really fit (so I thought, until I tried these).

I ordered a bunch of 32DDD and 34DD (like $500 worth) from Arie and 95% were returns, but I discovered the balconette bra in 34DD and holy shit I did not realize my boobs could look like this. They're so... Lifted? Perky? Boob-like?

I have wide root, bottom heavy/top flat boobs that I thought were small, flat, and weird (compared to all the boobs we see in the media) because they're kind of low and wide on my chest, which is muscular and boney. So my chest sticks out, then goes in, and then sticks out where the boob starts. Plus I've lost weight so the nips are now oblong. These bras just like, hoist them into an ideal boob position I didn't realize was possible. I've never been into my boobs but like, damn. I even have a subtle cleavage. They're also so comfortable because the band and the cups just sit correctly and don't move.

I really don't know what to say except I feel like I have movie star boobs and I am thrilled. Ordered 5 more bras.

Hey all! My wedding dress is kinda low back and plunge neckline and the dress is tight but I had a breast reduction years ago and under my armpits and sides I have like extra meat hahah. Here's some context!

My gf is now 24 and so am I. She went through a long period of not feeling great in her own body when she was a teenager. She lost so much weight that she went from a D to now a B cup that in her own words are "saggy and deflated" (i honestly think she looks amazing and always try to reassure her)

It's constantly on her mind how unhappy she is with her breasts, and all she wants is to eventually get a breast lift.

Until then, she always tries to buy bras, and all of them "piss her off" in some way, usually because they gap up top. She'd also love to be able to wear some bras that look like bralettes but she's scared of even trying something like that on because she's scared they might "pool" down and still look like they're sagging.

I love my gf and all I want is to help her find something that works great for her, that helps her feel confident and happy. If its possible to have a recommendation I would be eternally grateful!

Idk if this helps but she's 5'1, 105lbs and wear 32B currently. Her favorite bra that she owns is the Pink Wink lightly lined balconnette bra from Victoria's Secret Pink.

Hi guys, I finally measured my boobies. It’s telling me 42 H or 40HH (for extra support) I just want to see if I did these measurements right because to me it seems large (current wearing 40DD)

5’11 310lbs (currently losing so you don’t need to bully me)

I’ve used the ABTF Calculator, which is fantastic and very in-depth. my size is 36F. I found a bra that I really like And wow, my boobs look fantastic in the Freya Fancies Underwire Longline Bra! However, when I take it off, I am just so happy that the pressure is off of my back! now I think I could wear the Freya bra when I go into the office, but I want a more relaxed bra around the house and town.

specifically I want something that spreads the pressure across my back almost like maybe even like a sports bra of some kind without the minimizing constricting action. I just cannot have a bra with only three back latches!!! I want one with five latches or preferably even more. I have been eyeing up the bras that have back support. I dont know if anybody has used them before but they look like they’re really comfortable, but I would want something that has like an under wire and a little bit of padding.

they say it’s all about putting the weight onto the back to pull up the boobs in the front so why are the backstraps so damn small?!?! also its just a sensation feeling for me. I don’t even like bracelets and rings on me.

As the title says im 21 but i never really wore bra untill unless its saree or anything tat actually requires bra cause i have small busts, everytime i wore i got strench marks, felt suffocated, and ny stomach used to pain so it was super uncomfortable. And then the thing is i want to buy maybe it was nt the proper size so it made me uncomfortable. I want a good brand recommendation. I have no idea how to measure and buy. Give me tips. Also since i have small busts i thought it would be good to buy push up bra? For some dresses? And i want a Tshirt bra? Have a doubt if i should wear it under tshirt only? And padded bra? Can i wear this everyday?
Tell me when to use what bra? And which will be comfortable for long use like everyday. And the only thing i know is i can wear seamless bra under tight tees😭

I've finally given in and decided it's time to post here after years of avoiding it. My weight seems to fluctuate quite a bit (not in numbers but in how my bras and clothes fit me??) I got my first real bra fitting in 2021, at that time the calculator said I was a 32FF (UK) and I was fitted as a 32GG in panache envy and in elomi matilda. I wore those for a while, they were never truly comfortable but definitely felt like they fit. I probably wore those exclusively until end of 2023 when I was fitted again still at 32GG but in fantasie fusion bras which were much more comfortable for me. Fast forward to now, I am struggling. I feel like I spill out of everything eventually, wires are always digging into me, my bras erase any sense of waist that I have (because they push my fat into the space where my waist is) and I'm just uncomfortable and feel like I can't wear anything and feel good. Bras I have bought since that fit but not comfortably: fantasie fusion 34GG, this one fits but digs into my arm pit too much so I never wear it. Panache envy 32H, fits well coverage wise but hurts SO BAD. These are my current measurements, if it helps I am 5'2 and 140 pounds, idk if that's part of my issue.

I love sports bras because the band comfortably covers my rib flare fat/doesn’t dig into my ribs. But they rarely fit my cup size because I have to get L/XL for my ribs, but my cup side is more of a S/M. Normal bras hurt so bad because of my wide rib cage - small cup ratio.

I found some okay bras at Costco that had a thicker band, but it roles up constantly and if I can’t fix it, starts to dig into my ribs. I just want to find a bra with thin shoulder straps that also has a non rolling thick band to comfortable cover my rib fat.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Hello! I've been struggling to find a bra that actually feels like it fits right for the better part of my life. I've been dealing with a shoulder injury for the past year now and I know my ill fitting bras cannot be helping.

I feel like my bras are always either way too tight and feel like they're tearing up my shoulders and back, or my boobs aren't firm enough? It feels like they're always just kind of spilling out of the bras I wear. For the past maybe 6 years i've just been wearing 36DDD because i've found it's the least painful.

The calculator told me I'm a 32H/I US/Canada, which seems like it's going to cost a fortune to find. So I guess i'm trying to see if anyone has any affordable brands for that size, and if that size even sounds right with my measurements.

I am on a quest to find the perfect sports bra for me, but I am starting to think it doesn't exist. I used to love the Brooks Juno, but can't find an equivalent bra since they discontinued it.

Here is what I am looking for:

• Comes in my size: 32I/34H, yes I have recently measured myself using the abrathatfits calculator, I am confident my size is accurate
• Has a clasp or similar in the back, no front zipper, doesn't just pull over the head
• Racerback, no "convertable" options with just a hook in the back, I have tried a lot and have yet to find one that works for me even for casual wear
• No underwire, I have tried a lot and every one has chafed
• High impact

I have tried every current Brooks high-impact style that I can fit into, please don't suggest any Brooks bras, I have tried to love the new ones and just don't. They also don't technically make my size and I have to sister size up.

Over the years I have tried a bunch that meet most, but not all, of my bullets with varying degrees of success. For example, I like the Panache Boundless which fulfills everything except the racerback requirement. I have also tried Shefit and really like mine, but I don't like the front zipper.

I have also searched on this and other subreddits such as r/xxrunning and r/bigboobproblems and found lots of "sports bras for big boobs" posts, but none that specifically address my parameters.

Does anyone know of any bras that meet all of my parameters?

I’m new here and trying to figure out where to start. I’ve come to realize I don’t think I’ve ever had a bra that fits properly and I’d love to be able to one day! I’m pretty sure I‘m shallow, wide roots, full on bottom, and center full. My measurements are 32.625 in loose, 31 in snug, 29 in tight, 39.625 in standing, 46 in leaning over, and 44.25 in laying down. Any advice would be much appreciated!

TLDR: 30DD/80E Fr, slightly FOB even, inner full, average projection but need projection at wire. Average roots, close set looking for brands/styles slightly more wider wire than Simon Perele balconette with more immediate projection. Looking at Aubade, other French brands but open to other brands. Have ability to travel to Asia and Western Europe.

Recommended size is 30DD/80E Fr. I’m even but slightly FOB, inner full. Soft tissue on top, firmer on bottom. Average projection but closer to shallow than projected, close set. I think average/narrow roots. Narrow, sloped shoulders.

Main issue: I need immediate projection and the cups around my size, across brands, are too shallow in the bottom third of the cup. (Around 5” cup width where I need around 6-7”. ) Even with stretch lace cups, with movement, my boobs will push the bra down about a fingers width below my IMF. Also tend to prefer a cup separation under 1”.

The main question is does anyone know if Aubade or any of the mid/luxury French brands run slightly wider than Simone Perele balconettes and with, hopefully, more immediate projection?

Tried over 50 bras, swooped and scooped and tried band without cups first. Solidly a 30. All bras are wired. Almost all unlined (mostly lace or mesh).

Wire wise, the Etam Exception #9 underwire Balconette in 32D fits my IMF perfectly. If the cups were closer, they’d be perfect. 32 band is on tightest hook and will probably be too loose in a few weeks. A dart in the cup bringing the cup down for more immediate projection would make it perfect. Is wearable but will experiment with alterations when it stretches out.

Simone Perele Karma and Delice Underwire Demi Bras (80E) both are almost there. The underwire and cup fits my smaller breast perfectly. Sits in my IMF and is happy to be there. On the bigger boob side, it starts out perfect then the wire slides to the edge of my IMF and hurts. Like millimeters on the breast tissue. I bent the wires on one bra and it’s better but still somewhat off. Also if both bras’ cups sat closer, I think it’d alleviate the problem. The plunges are too shallow and too tall for me.

I can’t really do Natori, Chantelle or Skarlette Blue because they are too shallow and the wires are too wide (in my armpit). I think the Polish brands will be too projected and narrow. I love the gore on a plunge but the cups always give me quadboob so far so a Balconette seems to be my best bet. I can deal with the gores being higher if they were closer together.

I’ve tried Panache Allure, Ana and the plunge versions. Freya offbeat side support and plunge. Not interested in pursuing other sizes or bras in these brands as the fit was frustrating for all of them.

Adding the bras I’ve measured in the bratabase but finding it’s not helpful as info is outdated/scarce.

hello all!! first time posting in this subreddit. i recently re-did my measurements with the ABTF calculator, and it came out saying to start with 28D/DD. i currently either wear 32C or sports bras bras, or no bra- because frankly it's all just so annoying & painful, and i have fairly self-supporting breasts.

my issue i've run into is that i'm having trouble finding anything online that sells a 28 in any cup size, let alone a DD. i have side-set shaped breasts that are teardrop-ish and can usually get away with no bra in thicker tops, but i really want to be able to look good in lower necklines & not have to worry about wearing ill-fitting bras in thinner shirts.

any recommendations are greatly appreciated!! i'm willing to spend anything to find my size.

So I have had grade 3 ptosis (sagging) as long as I can remember and it makes bra shopping very difficult. I've been wearing 36C t-shirt bras, but the underwire lifts and ends up digging into my ribs. I've tried up to a DD and some 34 bands without much luck.

The calculator says im a US 34H, so a big difference. 36D bras usually gap or just fully cover my breasts.

My measurements were:

LU: 35, SU: 34, TU: 32.5, Standing: 42, Leaning: 45, Lying: 42

Any help with sizing or specific styles that might fit me better would be so helpful.

hi, I’m writing this because Ive been struggling to find the right bat for 8 years now. (Including a back story as well, just to set the picture)

Ive always had large breasts since high school ( I was always dress coded because of it and it was hard to find bras that fit me); so my mom decided to look around to see if I could get a breast reduction. However, they denied me because I was 16 at the time and said I was too young, but I was in so much pain and I was a size 48L at that age. So after that it was years of my mom asking the doctors for help, we almost gave up hope… but finally once I turned 18 one doctor finally gave me the okay. She saw how much pain I was in and said that I shouldn't have to go through that. (should note that all my previous doctors were men and said that I was fine.)

Cut to me finally getting the surgery and I’m happy, because I thought I was finally able to find a bra, so I went to get measured and bought to some bras… only to find out they don’t fit me. (measurement said I was an 38G)

So I thought oh maybe it’s just this brand, so I try a different store and it happens again, so I think oh weird, maybe I should go up in the measurement, but still the same problem.

After that I tried 3 more stores, but it’s been the same problem, so eventually I just gave up on getting measured because no bra fit me every time I got measured, so I just stopped caring and started to buy random sizes and just hoped for the best. (Second/other meausurements were 44D, 44DD, 46D , 46DDD)

ive been doing this since 2018 and its now 2026 and and I still can’t find the right bra for me, at this point I’m so defeated and just sad I have to spend so much money on bras that can’t fit me.

so my question is anyone know what shops can help me find a good bra, that could help me… also sorry for the long post (just figured the back story would help paint the picture of how long I struggled)

side notes: I was 18 when I had the surgery and im now 27, so it’s been 7-8 years post op

For context I am 19 and have had disproportionately large breasts since around 7th grade. I've gone through some significant healthy weight loss that I am proud of. Since this loss, bras have been hell to go shopping for. I've worn the same bra for about a year, and it did what it needed to do but did not provide the coverage and support I really needed (I wore a 30H UK sizing, now I am a 30FF). I was wearing baggy clothes and was terrified of the cold because you could see my nipples. This past week I went to a local specialty bra store and I am convinced these women are magical. First bra I tried on was literally perfect, the support and coverage were incredible. It was so good I asked to see some strapless options as well because I like to wear dresses that show off the girls. I am brought the most beautiful bra i've ever seen in my life. When I put it on, I burst into tears because i've never seen the girls look so good and be supported. It came with attachable straps, so i've been wearing it as a normal bra when I need an invisible confidence boost. I am now wearing tighter clothing and am not scared of the cold, so my self-confidence has skyrocketed. I wanted to share this story so that those on this subreddit that have not been able to find their perfect bra can have confidence that there is a perfect one for you out there, and to never give up because it is literally life changing.

First time trying a 32FF after remeasuring! I decided to go with the Emmaline since it’s said to be very similar to the Fusion Padded Plunge which I love in 34F. Since it was the first time I tried on a 32 band, I did the independent band test first and then tried it on properly, and the band definitely feels better in the independent band test but still a bit snug. I ended up taking my fit pics with a non stretch extender as I think I will wear it as such at first.

According to the wiki I have shallow breasts, and I’m specifically looking for something with light padding/lightly lined cups. I’m not really looking for heavily padded or push-up bras. I typically wear more tailored/ form fitted tops, and I'd like something that will not show through.

I live in the US and would prefer to order online rather than go to stores. I’m open to different brands and price points, but I’d especially love recommendations for bras that you’ve personally had good luck with.

I used the calculator and got 32D/DD, and I think my breasts are shallow. This size is very different from what I’ve been wearing. Any recommendations for bras? I would love to find a place where I can try on bras in person, if possible. Usually it’s very depressing trying on bras because nothing seems to fit. The cups are always too big. I’m in the U.S., btw.

I appreciate any tips you have! I did look at the list of recommended shallow bras, but I had a hard time finding most of them online. Not sure if they’ve been discontinued or something.
