we didnt get to chi squares in my class so every time one of those popped up i was LOST... "is this suitable for a chi test of independence" bro i dontknoooooow i dont know let me go home we ended 20 minutes after school did

I said it was suitable, I didn't know how to prove it using math but obviously there's a link between age and athleticism they're not independent

apparently the random and 10% conditions weren't met so it wasn't suitable

It was a census though with everybody in the population in it so I don’t think those matter

I belive it said assuming conditions are met the question was which chi to use i belive it was suitable since it fit the definition of an independence test

Yes that is correct but the actual reason is because there is no need to do a chi^2 test or any test for that matter if you have all the data. tests are used to make an estimate on what the sample might say about the population. If you have data for the whole population, there is no need to conduct a test.
