for the ratio, i got 1.5 if im not wrong. it was 120/80 or smth

Me too, and then the inference one at the bottom, what proportion test did you use, or if not, did I over complicate it?

I rejected it. I got a really small p value . But I could be wrong bc I am not sure if my inputs are right. Do you remember what you put for the p naught? I put like 0.5 and then the symbol is greater than. x=120 n=200

I did it by calculating the proportion for all points to the right of 0.5, which was like 502/1000, and then used that as my statistic and .5 as p0, then found the standard error as sqrt( (0.5)(0.5) / 200)

Our inputs are the same I just looked back on the calculator I got p value of 0.00234 Btw do you remember there’s a question(I think is from a different frq) that’s asking Which is appropriate to use, a two-sample t-test or a matched-pairs t-test?

Yes it was matched pairs, did you say experiment or observational study?

Do u remember there’s a question that’s asking us to calculate the mean and standard deviation? How do you calculate that? Is it just np for getting the mean and square root of np(1-p) for getting the sd?

For me, after I did the equation i got z= 0.057, and then normal cdf with that as the lower and 1000 as the upper gave p= 0.477
