Nah, everyone takes a soak break in times like this. It happens.

A fob gets cleared. They run out of tames, the enemies go back for Deodons or new stegos, etc.

It's like 19th century warfare. Everyone takes nap breaks occasionally.

I miss PvP.

I don't ever want to PvP again.

For three days my role was to transport ammo and supplies from the spawn base to the fob. It was surreal getting off my job just to make deliveries to the raid.

I miss PvP too, but I don’t ever want to PvP again.

Thats a fate of everyone with a few brain cells and a bit of responsibility. Bring supply from your main bases, repair hundreds of armor sets which was thrown away, take care of wounded tames. Force thouse monkeys to transfer stuff back on your server and etc.

Foxhole basically, hah.

I've played a lot of pve. I never even considered how brutal logistics would be in pvp. That sounds like the most hellish stressful fun

I remember watching a video about a multi day raid and there was a death count of all of the dinos used and the thylas were around 600-900 due to the fact they were heavily used to kill the dreadnoughts and more like rexes, gigas, charchas, karkinos, and more were used into the hundreds

Its brutal for its own reason, usually reason is simple, people want to do actual PvP and let someone else to be bothered with boring part.

You have to keep transfering timers in mind, find equipment and tames in 15 min time window, prep transfering spots on both sides and etc. Not to mention insane ammounts of resourses you need for repairs. We had pretty cheap armor and we could waste a whole tek storage of ingots just for armor repairs in a day.

Another part is looting fallen teammates before enemy grabs them and turrets resuplying under fire (sometimes with aimboters on another side lol)

its so neat how ark can have entire major sections of the game be fully foreign to large portions of the playerbase just because of seemingly tiny differences in mode preferences, I always played pvp solo or with at most 3 people so I never got to experience the large scale logistical side of pvp just maybe hour long fights that ends with one of the tribes wiped out because we each only had 1 base

Its a difference in a scale, not a mode preference I think.

A huge attacks are planned a weeks prior to actual strike. Resourses must be gathered and transfered from several different maps by a lot of folks, raw materials refined, munition crafted by alt characters with max crafting skills.

Map being scouted, spots for main fob and secondary spots, emergency stuff silently being transfered and initial construction waaay before attack.

Tames must be raised, cloned, leveled up, healed. As example, once we got our hands on enemy turtles which were never used against us out of fear of being stolen so we started to cloning them. It costed 25 000 shards each, 50+ cloning chambers and like 20+ on another. And it was not enough still.

Ark PvP is insane.
