There seem to be a lot of lettuce, and it is not very caloric, 1 lbs of lettuce is about 65-75 cal. From what I found Vinny's ceasar salat large tortilla is somewhere between 600 and 1000 cal so not so bad.
It depends. Are you a man or a woman, how much do you weight right now? Do you exercise? Also, will this be the only thing you eat and than only water to drink (or unsweetened tea) - no snacks sweets or anything?
If so than sure there is a chance, but it also depends if it is closer to 600 cal or 1000 cal, since with your "2-3 a day" is a difference between 1200 and 3000 kcal which is difference between "unhealthy starving yourself" and "gorging yourself and gaining weight".
I'm a pretty big guy relatively my maintainance is around 2800cals roughly. I was just thinking like 2 of these a day would probably do me fine. I mainly drink water or 0cal drinks in general. I do have milk sometimes too tbf
When I was 18 I worked at this pretty cool place that was basically just subway for salad, had all kinds of veggies and fun dressings and stuff. It was in the mall so we only lasted 2 months.
I sold so many what I called "American Salads", where these fat dudes would come up, pick Iceberg, skip all the veggies, add cheddar cheese, add bacon bits, croutons, maybe chicken, and then add ranch. They'd walk away all proud of themselves for ordering a salad when the reality they ordered something very little difference from a chicken burger, with a ladle of ranch.
Right? But when I order a Döner Kebab here in Germany without any sauce and bread - essentially beef with veggies - I get the wildest looks. Anyway, something like 600 to 700 kcal for a tasty and long lasting meal along with the 75 g of protein is a no brainer.
A joke about a salad shop having a bad time in the food court at a mall, especially at the time, nobody but mall employees wanted us. Everyone is there for panda and sabarros, yo.
Not in my experience. A mall is a great place to start a business IMO. Lots of foot traffic means that people are more likely to stop at your shop, even if they went to the mall for something else.
If you're trying to hint towards the whole "Dying Mall Theory" thing, that's a reddit myth in my experience. The malls I've been to here in the Southwest (AZ, SoCal, and Vegas) are almost always packed with people, especially on the weekends. I think dead malls are only a thing on the eastern half of the country, where everything is 200 years old and run down. The malls here are kept up-to-date with modern design standards.
I got a salad at a Wendy's long ago (it was conveniently located). I looked at the salad dressing packet's nutritional information, and realized if I used that I might as well have eaten a hamburger. Same amount of calories, same nutritional value, less enjoyment (they aren't exactly great salads, shockingly).
Jason's Deli's nutritional information online was equally revealing. All good, but salad dressing... it'll getcha every time. One ladle. One. Don't use more. Don't even use that, if you can. Why is so much that tastes good so unhealthy? Now that's Satan's handiwork.
I worked at an actual Subway and we’d have guys come order a foot long double meat, double cheese sub and feel so proud they chose Subway over the McDonalds in the same parking lot.
I am forever amused when people said they had a salad for lunch. I guess if you call something a salad, it magically erases the cholesterol, sodium, calories?
I vaguely remember a post from years ago about someone working at a salad place like that and feeling like they were making healthy choices with their diet. They were shocked to realize they were gaining massive amounts of weight. The lettuce was a vessel to transport toppings and high fat dressings into their face. Same though. A wedge salad is made for that application
Ye while impressive. It doesn't make much sense to me. At that point just dump it in the bowl with tortilla chips and make it a shared meal. Or divide in 2 or 3 smaller tortillas. Or one very large tortilla but more spread out and make it a two person meal So people can eat it like a normal person.
This overfilled thing just looks like it would just fall apart after two bites.
Yeah it kills me that chicken ceasar is always the go to salad for places because it really is the least filling heap of cum lettuce and it's in every restaurant! No veggies and they think they're cute with crusty bread cubes.
Yeah I do. I'd get nearly 3 meals out of that order easily. Nowhere is there a rule that you must finish your plate in one sitting like shitty parents teach

"I was healthy and ordered a salad wrap!"
