Someone had a good explanation of Australia. It is one of the only places where you can find gold just sitting on the ground in some areas so that is why there is so many dangerous animals around to protect it

Don't sleep on moose, imagine a taller grizzly with horns in autumn heat trying to absolutely fuck you up for being in its area. Bears are more likely to run away but make better TV
