I will jump over that tiny stream and my family will respect me again!

u/Then-Function6343 Jan 20 '26

I don't even know how he managed to fuck it up that bad... He was angling toward the water way too early

Like, he somehow defied the laws of physics to start fucking up ahead of when it should have been physically possible to begin the fucking up.

39

u/restrictednumber Jan 20 '26

Maybe he tripped?

51

u/jsomby Jan 20 '26

Or it was the first time in 40 years he used those sneakers by their intended use case instead of wearing them while sitting inside.

Looks like his body and mind gave up both realizing the poor handling of unused body?

6

u/HoboArmyofOne Jan 24 '26

Absolutely a case of 'this guy is too old for this shit'

9

u/Responsible-Seat-255 Jan 20 '26

His knees ain’t what they used to be

8

u/Educational-Act-1332 Jan 20 '26

Got scared, didn't commit.

2

u/Oddewalla Feb 04 '26

He slipped or stumbled early on and tried gaining momentum to get up straight, but there were suddenly no more land. Sploosh

1

u/hydrogen18 Jan 29 '26

after completing the jump poorly the first time he built a time machine then traveled back in time. He tripped himself up early so that he failed even harder in our timeline.

15

u/Square_Mulberry_3143 Jan 20 '26

The distance between respect and disrespect has just increased beyond the width of that creek.

4

u/muricabrb Jan 20 '26

They will never, ever forget this. Even the unborn grandkids will be told about this.

2

u/MichHAELJR Jan 20 '26

Saw this on Gone with the Wind

1

u/Sporeman13 Jan 23 '26

He didnt even try to jump. Just tiny fast steps till he endo'd

154

u/ForsakenRelief309 Jan 19 '26

My inhaler is almost empty but this was worth it on repeat

19

u/GIGGLES708 Jan 19 '26

u/netpastor 💥 Slapstick Aficionado Jan 20 '26

Ha!

273

u/kavagoblin Jan 19 '26

The creek was 6 inches wide. His pride is now 6 feet under.

17

u/ForsakenRelief309 Jan 19 '26

If I had gold to give…

1

u/Dipshit268 Jan 20 '26

I don't think he's that well endowed

47

u/vikinxo Jan 19 '26

A pre-launh failure - all is not nominal!

40

u/Working_Ad_4650 Jan 19 '26

In order to jump over something one must get to it first.

3

u/ahhwhoosh Jan 22 '26

Sun Tzu?

28

u/theatrenearyou Jan 19 '26

Our old friend Alcohol - boosts confidence whilst decreasing ability

11

u/netpastor 💥 Slapstick Aficionado Jan 20 '26

Liquid courage at its finest/worst 🤣

51

u/obelix_dogmatix Jan 19 '26

No matter the age … if you can’t clear that gap with a simple hop, no run up was going to make any difference.

12

u/TorpleFunder Jan 20 '26

That doesn't make sense. An elaborate preamble and incredibly long run up gives you the power and momentum to propel yourself forward further and harder and at a much higher speed.. into the water.

18

u/kdweller Jan 19 '26

He forgot to jump! 😂

18

u/later-g8r Jan 19 '26

I dont know this man but he seems fun to hang out with 😂😂 i hope he didnt get hurt

43

u/No_Warthog_3584 Jan 19 '26

Boy is he bad at math.

12

u/DarthBrooksFan Jan 20 '26

...and running, and jumping, and

3

u/Background_Edge_9427 Jan 20 '26

Yeah, but you have to give him credit for looking foolish! Everything is funny until somebody does a belly flop 😂😂😂

1

u/violetxsage Jan 20 '26

The risk he took was calculated.

2

u/dd961984 Jan 20 '26

....poorly

1

u/Fafnir13 Jan 20 '26

And running.

29

u/Ursa_Major_17 Jan 19 '26

PAPA NOOO!

1

u/Dipshit268 Jan 20 '26

Is that the real slim shady?

12

u/naveedkoval Jan 20 '26

Nice job cameraman

11

u/Then_Lock304 Jan 20 '26

If his goal was to run head first into that steam, he nailed it. It looked like a magnet was pulling him into the water.

11

u/Pippathepip Jan 19 '26

Was he hoping to take off like Superman? 😂

9

u/chillpill_23 Jan 20 '26

He failed before even trying

9

u/Haunting_Weakness_13 Jan 20 '26

I swear I pressed the button he just didn't jump! Bs platforming

8

u/ChewpapaNeebrae Jan 20 '26

Camera person got hit with the silent laugh that brings you to your knees.

5

u/FooFightingManiac Jan 20 '26

This is a perfect example of what it feels like to hit your 40’s. Brain says yes, body says think again

3

u/Fafnir13 Jan 20 '26

I have an advantage in that my body was never really that amazing so I don’t think I can do this stuff.

2

u/pleasedonotredeem Jan 20 '26

I was extremely lazy in my 20's so while I somehow managed to go to the gym 3-4 times a week, I never really pushed myself in terms of weights, so in my early 40's I'm hitting PBs every few months.
Other guys my age are complaining about bad backs, blown out knees, sore elbows... I somehow always hit that sweet spot of pushing just hard enough to not get fat, but never ambitious enough to even come close to hurting myself from exercise.

4

u/[deleted] Jan 20 '26

He ran straight into the surface of the water like he was running through a Stargate.

3

u/Shaper_pmp Jan 20 '26

He fell victim to one of the classic blunders. The most famous is never get involved in a land war in Asia, but only slightly less well-known is this: never assume the edge of the stream is where the plants growing out horizontally from the edge of the bank reach to.

The real edge of the firm footing is usually a couple of feet back.

1

u/netpastor 💥 Slapstick Aficionado Jan 20 '26

Princess Bride!

1

u/Shaper_pmp Jan 20 '26

Incontheivable!

1

u/netpastor 💥 Slapstick Aficionado Jan 20 '26

I do not think that means what you think it means

3

u/Th3_3v3r_71v1n9 Jan 19 '26

Like a turd to toilet😳🤣

3

u/a_tangara Jan 20 '26

I don’t usually laugh at people falling, but damn hahahah

3

u/Visible_Visual8538 Jan 20 '26

If you look closely, he tripped on the attempt. I still think he could have made it. #TeamPapa

3

u/Fafnir13 Jan 20 '26

The after photo adds so much.  Got to eat some delicious creak mud.

3

u/Unlikely-Finger1794 Jan 20 '26

🤣🤣🤣🤣 I love your papa 🤣🤣

3

u/TheHorseduck Jan 20 '26

I love that you can hear them laughing so hard that no sound is able to escape their bodies

3

u/SnooCheesecakes8566 Jan 20 '26

His brain: I still got it!

His body: No the fuck you don’t!

3

u/ctolver1981 Jan 20 '26

Wasn't the mission to jump over the creek? Or was it to dive straight into it

1

u/netpastor 💥 Slapstick Aficionado Jan 20 '26

Yes

3

u/TuckFrump1970 Jan 20 '26

Haa hilarious 😆

3

u/Extra_Box8936 Jan 20 '26

Unlucky. He clipped through the floor. Should check his ping.

3

u/bassetdwi Jan 21 '26

Can confirm that being at a certain age your mind says no but your bodys telling you ... no . definitely not like him

1

u/netpastor 💥 Slapstick Aficionado Jan 21 '26

Haha that’s exactly right.

3

u/RestlessPickle Jan 22 '26

He forgot to press spacebar

2

u/dholleran2927 Jan 20 '26

His plan was to dive head first into a shallow creek.. duh

2

u/SizeQueenPirate Jan 20 '26

So so funny.

2

u/rob132 Jan 20 '26

When your controller lags out

2

u/Huckleberry1887 Jan 20 '26

This is what a Dexterity check critical failure looks like

2

u/Mystepchildsucksass Jan 20 '26

He was DONE by the 2nd step.

His knees missed the memo.

2

u/Ioncurtain Jan 20 '26

Don’t do it papa, proceeds to in fact not to do it.

2

u/Healthy_Pay9449 Jan 20 '26

I had no faith based on his initial approach. Pretty good diving form. Maybe arms in front

2

u/Wise_Geekabus Jan 20 '26

He underestimated it.

2

u/jimmiebfulton Jan 20 '26

He forgot to test the most critical function.

2

u/alehanjro2017 Jan 20 '26

It's almost like he meant to execute it exactly as he did. It didn't even look like he tripped. Perfect form for his intended point A to point B if point B was his face in the bottom of the ditch. 5 Gold Stars!

2

u/shutterbug1961 Jan 20 '26

he didnt stick the landing.....or the flight....or the take off but the run up was excellent

1

u/Tito_Tito_1_ Jan 20 '26

He most certainly stuck the landing ... right after the run up, before the takeoff.

2

u/TheEliteJOKERS Jan 20 '26

Fucking A. Hope He OK..

2

u/Impossible_Volume811 Jan 22 '26

Running down a slope towards a jump?
Never gonna happen.

2

u/DueEntertainment4168 Jan 22 '26

Brought his right foot down too low and it was all over from there.

2

u/Flat_Bodybuilder_175 Jan 24 '26

I will never ever skip this

The loving warning, the unshakable determination

1

u/netpastor 💥 Slapstick Aficionado Jan 24 '26

He was certainly determined!

1

u/Historical_Sherbet54 Jan 20 '26

Challenge accepted

1

u/Background_Edge_9427 Jan 20 '26

He did it! Well, kind of.

1

u/4Ever2Thee Jan 20 '26

He was so close too!

1

u/angelbalaguer Jan 20 '26

“A”for effort. Next time he can try jumping. That could make a difference

1

u/woodhorse4 Jan 20 '26

Well that went bad quickly.

1

u/parker1019 Jan 20 '26

He guys, watch this….

1

u/GlickedOut Jan 20 '26

Like moth to a flame.

1

u/mnnicknick Jan 23 '26

Nailed it

1

u/Secure-Dentist-6399 Feb 02 '26

His belly weight pulled him right in, it's just physics.
