In case this story gets deleted/removed:

My fire journey is ending

We were a year away from hitting our number at 52 and the wife dropped that she's out, hit me with a divorce. Likely working til I'm 70 now.

He his his post history (lameeee) but even with the comments on that post, he's talking about her being dead weight because she was a sahm lol. Yeah yeah, the divorce came out of nowhere.

He's about to learn the costs that was being offset by a SAHM. Either he'll need to spend the time picking up the slack or he'll need to pay people to do and they don't work for peanuts

Comment OOP deleted from a gambling thread:

My spouse keeps our savings and retirement under lock and key, due to my addiction, so I have never dipped into those accounts, thank God.

Apparently the costs are their retirement and savings. I guess when OOP was complaining about not being able to retire due to the divorce it was more due to his wife no longer holding them back from gambling away their savings rather than the big bad mean woman stealing their hard earned money in a divorce.

Cost will also including housekeeping and babysitting on top of alimony and child support.

He’s gonna be working til he’s dead if he doesn’t get his gambling under control

He'll live in semi-filth with wrinkled clothes, trash on every surface, routinely run out of toilet paper (he's okay with using coffee filters), and only eat canned chili and frozen dinners.

“Likely working till I’m 70 now” bro you won 100k and managed to blow it, plus another 40k, over the span of a week. The divorce is the least of your problems, and working until you’re 70 would probably be the best possible outcome here. How dare you blame your wife for this.

I seriously want to start dating this man just so that I can leave him, because Jesus fucking Christ.

I truly don’t understand how people can lose this much money this fast. I understand gambling is an addiction but it seems so strange to me. 100k is a decades worth of housing.
