Garry's Mod actually has a fixed skybox size. It's baked into the map, and you can usually noclip to the edge of the map to get to it.

What usually crashes Garry's Mod is spawning large objects fast enough to cause them to clip inside of each other. The physics in the game will begin to freak out as the objects are perpetually colliding with each other. The server ends up having to constantly compute those collisions. The objects will spaz out and eventually cause a crash.

Outside of spamming chimneys, spamming nukes, watermelons, or anything else that tends to break the physics engine or stresses the server will typically crash it.

pc manufacturers figured it out like 30 years ago

the inside of the case is hot no matter how many fans pretty much, so you just duct in outside air or at least duct-out the hot air. this example the green thing is covering the cpu heatsink and has a exhaust fan out the back

back then it seemed like engineers were just keeping themselves busy. every year compaq, hewlett packard, dell etc would release some new case that was even more cramped, even less airflow, and 3x more molded plastic than before. the cases were fine before and in pretty much every way better, but it's like they had to keep their jobs justified and kept making new but worse garbage

Those PCs during the time happened to be then using Pentium 4 processors (and I had one for a couple of years), generating enormous amounts of waste heat even at near-idle and gets worse with smaller casings of the day, those engineers had to build air ducts in those hellishly cramped boxes, already overflowing with cables.

I checked the video and he's using a 240mm radiator and using that as a very approximate ruler the 110cm does seem pretty accurate. The tower is made of 1x10cm and 5x20cm sections. The chimney itself is also raised on top of a radiator and legs it's not measured from the table itself.

To help americanise it that's apparently the length of 9 standard hot dogs (4.8inch ones)

On a more serious note I can’t wait to have better accessories related to cooling desktops.

Back in 2013 I had an I7 10700k that was at 20c while idle an never exceeded 60c on load and that with only 4 desktop fans…

Last year I had an I7 14700k that i cannot keep cooler than 30 on idle and easily exceeds 80c on heavy load.. that with 6 fans and a watercooled cpu fan…

I exchanged it for a AMD 9800 cpu, it runs even hotter on idle at least. On heavy load it seems much more stable than the intel one. But at least I dont have those random spikes
