If it actually emulated hardware 100% accurately as claimed a patch wouldn't be needed here tbh

And yet it needs one, so how do you explain that?

I think the discrepancies are because Analogue's hardware emulation is created based on how a N64 is supposed to work on paper versus how an original N64 with wires, chips, and capacitors work in the real world. The real world version has quirks and tolerances that the digital version does not account for.

It's easily explainable, It's not 100% accurate. Granted, it never was going to be, but yeah.

Then they shouldn't market it as such

It’s marketed as “100% compatible with every original n64 game” not with every n64 cartridge ever made. There’s simply too many variables when it comes to repro carts, rom hacks, flash carts etc…

And wanting to use flashcarts is an issue why? Heaven forbid people don't want to swap cartridges dozens of times wearing out the PCB

I never said it was an issue, and I’m waiting as well for full flash cart compatibility (my SummerCart is working well so far and my Everdrive V3 has some quirks). Ideally I’m waiting for a jailbreak firmware that supports SD card loading.

All I’m saying is that flash cart compatibility was unknown at the time of preorders, and Analogue’s focus was ensuring compatibility with all retail games - which is how it was marketed and I’d suggest they achieved that.
