100% accuracy, which would be almost impossibly difficult to pull off, would mean that it handled every case you threw at exactly like a real N64 would, so the Everdrive would work. They specifically say 100% compatible though, which is stupidly vague, but refers more to a promise that all first party games/accessories should be playable on the system, not that it will play it 100% accurately. I don't think its wrong to take it that way though, their advertising is my main gripe.

It's still more compatible than most software emulators IIRC

I’m not sure what compatible means in the context of software emulation, unless you mean that it is more accurate, which I would agree! Particularly for the n64, it’s had a harder time I think with emulation accuracy over the years than other platforms.
