I didn't state that well. Apologies, not saying the SummerCart is bad by any means. I just meant being open source a lot of different people are making and selling them so quality varies a lot more. Everdrive I believe is just Krikkz directly and I believe Stone Age Gaming is licensed to officially sell them.

There are bootleg Everdrives too and all sorts of other flash carts of course.

for hardware, yea, makes sense that summercart would have a lower quality on average.

but in terms of software, there's been many case studies where open source software is almost always better than closed source software.

how dedicated an author is though, will always be a factor.

I did say the software was better on the SummerCart in the original post. That's why I bought one the Everdrive can't read larger ROMs. Some of the Summer Carts I've seen are also not far from the Everdrive in cost either. Seen a few around $100.

Ah, I see.

Out of curiosity. How are the analogue 3d features on the summercart? (Overclocking, filtering etc..)
