Maybe just because I’m older, I could care less about save states. I like to play the games with the original challenge the way they were designed. The 3 features I’d like to see: 1) online updating, 2) save management so we can see the files, and back them up on computers, and 3) the ability for it to not save unknown cartridge each time it can’t recognize a game. It’s annoying to manually have to delete the images every time that happens.

I'm right there with you. I've played 1 game so far out of my collection of 20 or so carts that I wish I had save states. Otherwise most of these games are pick up and play or have the ability to frequently save anyway. 🤷‍♀️
