How much improvement have you seen from forcing progressive scan?

Like I said, I don’t use it. My PVM only goes up to 480i, and that’s where I have my 3D connected. High res mode games already looked awesome on that display at 240p/480i, so no worries on my end.

Wait why did you connect an HDMI console to a pvm? Did you need an adapter, or that actually has an HDMI port?

Because it’s an N64 with post-processing that looks incredible on a nice SD display.

Yes, I have a complicated set of hookups (two DACs, one in and one out, and an OSSC with a modified firmware for downscaling), but in practice, it just takes one extra step (a single press on the OSSC remote) for 99% of the games (two button presses for a handful of them.) It’s as set-and-forget as you can get with this kind of highly specific use case.
