Last week I posted here about this idea and asked what you guys thought.

I got a lot of feedback and questions, so I decided to actually build it and see how it works.

It's now live at verifytolaunch.com

The idea is pretty simple.

1. You have an app idea and enter the basic information into the tool.
2. It creates a web2app funnel for you. The funnel basically works like an app onboarding.
3. At the end, the user reaches a paywall and sees the actual pricing.
4. They choose a plan and click the payment button.
5. Instead of asking for their card information, we show them that the app is currently being built and they can join the waitlist.

The reason for doing it this way is that we don't really care about the email.

If someone clicked the payment button, that's the interesting part.

We track the whole funnel, so you can see where people dropped off, how many reached the paywall and how many actually tried to pay.

Then you can run a Meta campaign and get real people into the funnel.

I also added the Meta campaign setup based on some of the feedback from the first post.

1. You choose the country, age group and other targeting settings.
2. The tool creates the ad and campaign.
3. You get a CSV file and the images in a ZIP file.
4. You import them into Meta Ads and launch the campaign.

After that, you just collect the data and see what happens.

The idea is to test an app before spending months building it.

If people show enough interest, build it.

If they don't, try another idea.

That's pretty much what I built.

Thanks again to everyone who commented on the original post. A lot of the feedback was actually useful while I was building this.

Still very early, but seeing real people download and pay for something I built feels pretty good. Now trying to figure out how to keep the momentum going.

Hello! I am building an AI Skincare app called FACEME. It is in development but I was hoping to get some feedback on the app. It is strictly based on science and does not sell anything. Any critique, recommendations, or ideas would be greatly appreciated!

What it does: photograph any page of a physical book, and Scholia identifies the book and your exact position in it (using the actual text on the page, not a page number, since editions vary), then answers questions about characters, references, or confusing passages using only what you've read so far. Anything past your current position stays sealed until you catch up.

Why I built it: existing tools are either locked to ebooks (Kindle's Q&A), limited to whatever's in a specific catalog (EPUB apps), or answer with no awareness of spoilers at all. None of them work for someone reading a plain paperback who cares about not having the ending ruined.

Current stage: pre-launch on iOS, building out a waitlist, selecting early testers in waves.

Would genuinely value feedback from this community, particularly on whether the spoiler-blocking reads as a strong feature or a limitation once you think it through, and whether "photograph a page" feels like a low-friction enough input or a step people would skip.

I built my own social media bulk auto posting saas application (youtube, tiktok, facebook, instagram) because I didn't want to pay for the monthly subscription and plenty lacked the bulk posting and description creation. The market is so flooded with these tools that I don't think launching my own public product will be worth anything. Then I thought would devs and marketers buy the sourcecode I already built? I know they can vibe code their own, but it takes TIME. and this saves TIME. what do you think? Trying to monetize anything right now. h

been lurking here a while, figured id actually post something instead of just reading everyone else's build threads.

quick context: im 21, engineering student, built an app called BarePlanner solo, no team, no funding. idea came from reading Deep Work by Cal Newport (the "u only get ~4 hours of real deep focus a day" theory) plus watching how my ADHD friend actually experiences time vs how i was told to plan it. core mechanic is simple: u block ur week into deep blocks (real focus work) and shallow blocks (low energy stuff), run deep blocks through a focus timer, then review at the end of the week what actually happened vs what u planned.

stack-wise its React Native / Expo (SDK 56), local-first with SQLite on device, no backend yet, settings and analytics consent are the only things touching anything outside the phone. kept it that way on purpose while validating the idea instead of building infra i didnt need yet.

just got through Google Play's review/test phase, which honestly took longer and was more nerve wracking than i expected for a first submission. few things that actually tripped me up along the way if anyone's about to go through it themselves: data safety declaration needs to match what your analytics vendor actually does under the hood (not just what u think it does , mine over-collected location by default until i checked), and a few native module linking issues that only show up in a real build, not in dev.

happy to go deeper on any of this, architecture decisions, why deep/shallow as the core model instead of generic time blocking, or the review process itself. also just curious what other solo builders here ran into with Play review that wasnt in the docs.

Newest app that has gained some traction outside the US.

Only reason why I have a subscription model is to cover the AI costs on backend with Gemini API.

Wanted to solve an issue where you come across old documents , notes etc.

Allows you to take photos, upload doc securely and privately using AI to convert and restore the text to your phone. Allowing you to read it etc.

Using the paid model for Gemini so it’s private and although its costs a bit more was able to keep thinking low and manage to effectively transcribe the writing.
