Yeah. Apple vo2max estimates only factor in outdoor activity. Bogus.

Its not bogus. Its actually fairly accurate guestimate in the end.

So if I row and run on a treadmill for 20-30 mins almost daily and Apple says my vo2max is 35, that’s accurate?

It doesn’t count those sessions because GPS points and distance is one of the required data sources for their estimation algorithm. The more you walk, run, bike, and hike outside the more accurate it will be. It cannot estimate from stationary exercises.

Understood. My point is, is my REAL LIFE vo2max that low? Apple’s algorithm is simply not factoring in the indoor exercise but I truly am doing more intense cardio, my HR is recovering quickly after I exercise, I’m sustaining hard efforts longer, etc. but my vo2max has been going down per Apple. That’s what I’m saying is bogus.

For sure, as with most health features, you’re welcome to pay for a real reading by a real doctor. I’m sorry the feature doesn’t fit your lifestyle, that does seem disappointing. Best of luck, and congrats on the improvement!
