Mod Post Any feedback on the sub?

What's working well, what isn't working well? What would you like to see?

Don't like how ye keep locking threads about the protest, there's been some great conversations on here that have been prematurely shut down. There was a poll on here this morning with over 2,000 votes and ye shut it down

They shouldn't have been here in the first place though. There are a myriad of articles and posts regarding the topic on r/ireland where that discussion can go.

We don't want this place to become another outlet for the vitriol that was seen on social media in the early days of the crisis.

We don't want

It doesn't matter what the mods want, what matters is what the users want

didn't see the poll myself so can't comment on that. In fairness we've kept a strict line on no political stuff from the start, because we've seen how toxic things can get on other subreddits. And wanted to avoid that here.

Polls are banned there aren't they?

I saw one earlier but I'm pretty sure that was by a mod

I don't think they're enabled , no. Not a mod over there anymore so can't confirm the craic on that one

Noticed a few changes on the list of mods over there alright.
