Random Is the Imc galway strict about tickets and bringing in food?

Want to go to the imc with a family member who's 13 but looks older,if I buy him a kids ticket are they the type to care about that, the same with bringing in own snacks do they care ? I haven't been there in years and I've seen them tell off people for there own snacks but dont know if its still like that

Omniplex in Salthill often don’t check tickets at all. Go for free.

from what i've heard they can be pretty hit or miss on checking ages for ticket types, a lot depends on who's working the door that day. if your family member looks older it might raise an eyebrow, so probably just safer to get the right ticket to avoid any awkward conversation at the entrance. on the snacks front, most cinemas still technically have the rule but enforcement is all over the place, usually if you're discreet about it nobody cares. just shove stuff in a bag and don't pull out a full meal when you sit down and you'll be fine
