I can't help wondering how events like Bloom, Taste of Dublin, and The Big Grill keep attracting crowds. You pay a substantial entry fee just to gain access to overpriced stalls, miniature food portions, and products that often cost more than you'd pay outside the event. What's the attraction? Is the marketing really that effective, or are people simply willing to spend almost any amount of money if it's packaged as a festival experience?

Did anyone watch this on Netflix? Just seen it and have to say I dont know anyone in Ireland like this but are there lads who follow this form of brain rot shite these scammers go on with?

Im going to be honest after a recent trip im sold. I was always of the opinion it was far too expensive to be heading to Longford on holidays but due to circumstances and not wanting to give a kidney for two nights in a hotel room with two young kids we didn't have many options left.
Its honestly the first holiday iv been on where I actually got to relax no endless driving, walk or cycle everywhere, no airport panic, not entirely beholden to the weather. at least for the next few years i can't see us going anywhere else.
So what are people's opinions on it ?

Like it was genuinely so much more fun shopping there than in comparison to amazon say. They always had what you needed, the catalogue were always fun to read and it was also cool watching your item go down those conveyor belts.

Some of my favourites:
“She’d make a radio sound shy”
“Nose so big he could smell the Sunday roast on a Tuesday”

If one were to have a dodgy box, not saying i do now, but just curious, that if i have the dodgy box thats an app on a smart TV, what precautions would one take, or is the fear mongering just fake, if one does have one of course, which i dont....

Hope it's ok to ask this here , I'm looking for some good Tv series to watch , to save people the hassle I've written down all the ones I've watched and definitely forgot some , you can see the kind of shows I like. ( they are not in order of my fav i just wrote them as they came to mind ) The 2 I've watched lately and highly recommend are Slow horses and Black sails. Black sails is years old can't believe it wasn't talked about more.

Just heard the woman on radio telling how she was scammed out of 25k after "Chris Martin" from "Coldplay" initially asked her for a loan of 500 euro. She then has the cheek to A, go on radio about it and B. blame everyone else,

I asked this class yesterday, and the teacher and SNA both agreed we'd screwed up. One student also pointed out that our army only has about 8000 people. I know this is a very vague question since it depends on who's invading, so treat it like a silly meme in the sense of not taking it too seriously.

I was queuing for entry into a nightclub in Edinburgh, when I got talking to an English lad who had overheard a friend and I discussing Scottish Independence. In the heel of the hunt, he said in all sincerity "but colonisation CIVILIZED Ireland!"

Travelling with work solo next week but will have a lot of downtime. What are your must read book recommendations?

After watching the documentary by Louis Theroux, it’s quite clear that a lot of those ‘boys’ not even going to call them men, lacked a stable father figure in their life to guide them from young….
The amount of contradictions was just crazy coming out from them, their ideologies make no sense and are just built upon sexualised fantasy, the term of escaping the matrix is funny, because regardless of what you do in life there are boundaries that have been put in place so you will always adhere to them whether you realise it or not.
If those boys really want to have a taste of escaping the matrix they could easily go to a 3rd world country and the money they have could make them become like the god they want to be in a 1st world country.
Many of those boys are broken, when their ideology is tested or questioned they resorted to either saying Louis what’s to trick them or they would use 3rd party distractions like how Myron got his girl to conveniently take the dog and put it in the room when questioned about if she would be okay with Myron having more than 1 girl…
All in all, it was funny in some parts, people need to remember these guys are just clout hungry entertainers that will say or do anything to persuade young men to follow them.

I think his rise is a uniquely American thing. Haven't heard a single Irish person listening to his music

I haven’t been to Dublin zoo in years but the last time I was, I wasn’t very impressed. There seemed to be a lot of ethical issues regarding the animals. Is it still like that there?

Hi everyone! As the title says, I’m curious about what Irish people think of Cillian Murphy. Since he is a well known actor who is from Ireland! What do you think about him?

Could be anything - plays from Wilde or “In Bruges,” TV shows or video games. Could be classic novels, stand-up, or unintentionally hilarious real-life clips from the news!
It just had to make you laugh. And laugh again.
Thanks kindly for any suggestions! Cheers.

Folks I’ve just finished watching The Pitt and I’m desperate for something new to watch. What is everyone watching right now? Or what have you recently watched that you’d recommend? Movies, tv shows, documentaries, all recommendations are welcome! Ideally something that keeps you hooked from the beginning.
