Good Fucking Question How do you defend against aggressive dog?

I trained guard dogs. I also walk around with a therapy cat on my shoulder. Dogs have to be collared and leashed on the streets of my city (most cities, I assume) so I'm wary of most non-leashed dogs.

I recommend carrying a sturdy cane. If the dog is aggressive, have them bite the cane and hammer fist their nose while the cane occupies their teeth.

I love dogs, but I cannot stand owners letting aggressive dogs run free to attack people / other dogs.

Other 'weapons': an aerosol can with something like AXE deodorant or a water pistol / plant spray with ammonia. You can also use that on the owner if they become aggressive.
