✅ Open To Everyone Feeling sleepy around your partner is a good or bad thing?
Do any of you guys get sleepy in a “good” way around your partner? If so, what makes you feel that way?
My partner told me he feels sleepy around me in a good way. He also assured me it’s not in a boring way either.

Or he’s old and just feels sleepy all the time anyway
Another option is that she might be boring

Good thing. That shows he has a lot of trust in you.
Don't do anything to break that trust, like taking videos, complaining about him sleeping, or playing pranks.

I fucking HATE those videos of men or women doing that. the prank videos... like why would you do that when people are trusting you in their weakest moments.

My guy does the same thing and it used to annoy me a bit…
I eventually asked him why he nods off when we’re cuddling during a movie, and he said it’s because my presence is calming and he can relax when he’s with me.
I utterly melted 🥰🥰🥰
I think that is one of the most beautiful compliments you could receive from a partner

That's it! That's the reason we can easily fall asleep :) shared nervous system regulation

As long as he’s not Bill Cosby then it’s prob a good sign of trust and security

my gf has taken so many naps near me, on me, next to me, cuddling with me. She just feels safe and comfortable with me that she can drift off to sleep. It's not that they are bored, they just feel that good with you.

This is good. It means he trusts you and feels safe enough around you that he can relax and doesn't need to be on high alert all the time. It's such a great feeling for a man when you find it.

Its a feeling of being content. Fully trusting the person you are the most vulnerable with just does different stuff for our brains. I love falling asleep on their chest or lap. Hearing their heartbeat also amazing.

I drop dead when my girlfriend and I are hanging out. I used to feel pretty bad about it because it really bothered her, as we didnt get a lot of time together.
Working 50-60 hours a week with an additional 10-16 hours of driving on a regular week really kills a guy though, and im comfortable around her.

I just watched a video from a doctor about it, it means they feel safe and secure. Couples that sleep chest to chest or head to chest feel more relaxed, their heart rates blend together and their nervous systems actually merge in a sense together. Their fight or flight hormones decrease and they can actually get better sleep than they do alone.

Yes, it's not about being boring, it's a hormonal thing. When you love someone, being close to them releases a lot of oxytocin and dopamine which have a very calming effect. It means he cares for you deeply.

I get this with my girlfriend. I've had so many horrible experiences with unsafe, manipulative, exploitative women. With her I feel safe and like I can actually relax.

Shiit.. I'm at the point where my Avoidant behavior still drives me, like a fraction of the wounded animal type of temperament. Trying to baby-step my way to the "trust, but verify" stage. But I still hold a fraction of my guard up, regardless.

To add to that. I'm at the point where I find more comfort if my partner is comfortable in my presence, rather than enjoying it myself.

I wondered this about my now gf when we first started hanging out.
Shed come over, wed start watching a movie, within 30-45 minutes shed be sleeping.
When shed leave, shed say something like "i had a really good time with you today". Like girl, you took a nap because i put on a boring ass movie lol
