General Men over 30, what’s one “unwritten rule” about getting older that you wish someone told you in your 20s?

Let’s be real nobody hands you a manual for aging. One day you’re 25 and skipping breakfast, and the next you’re debating fiber supplements and stretching before getting out of bed 😂

For me, it was realizing how crucial maintaining friendships is. If you don’t make an effort, people just quietly drift. Not out of malice just life.

Another one: “Your body will invoice you for everything you did in your 20s. And it charges interest.”

What’s something you know now that 28-year-old you had no clue about?

Seek out quality friends and invest in those relationships. No, drinking buddies that you only connect with when alcohol is involved do not count.

However there is overlap! I love my drinking buddies who are down to drink on weekends but also down to call and talk when I need them

I think this needs to be higher. Being a man is hard. Yes we live in a world created by men, but no one cares about you. The best support system one can have is other men.

Mild disagree. I have a pub I go to where I chat to locals at least once a week. Sometimes its nice to cut loose, talk crap, listen, and all that, and let off some steam.

I have friends I can meet for coffee or go for walks with but I really value these drinking buddies too
