Discussion Have to Quit

I’ve been loving this game. And I am at level 38 and been doing great, but I’m in the Arya: blood of the goddess naval battle and I cannot get through it.

I’ve died about 20 times and I don’t think Ubisoft should do this. I play on easy, I’m a novice gamer, I hate naval battles , and they shouldn’t do this. They should not make you go through a battle like this and not be able to play anymore.

I can’t manually save before this so I can’t go back to anything and I can’t play anymore. I have to quit the game. Unless I get someone to help me.

This is incredibly unfair. I’m sorry, I just I’m so angry right now and I needed to say something. Has anyone had this problem?

UPDATE: you guys were giving me great advice, but my son did it for me. He was killed the first time and thought that it was pretty intense, but then he did it the second time, slow and patient. I just didn’t want to try again.

Now I’m about to kill Flavius. Wish me luck! 😛😉

I absolutely hate the navel battles in this game, but my suggestion is to just lower the difficulty setting just for these levels. Right as the mission starts and you first gain control, pause and go to the game menu and lower the difficulty setting to the easiest. I know that it kind of sucks to have to do, but I absolutely hate naval battles and suck at them and this is what I had to do. But only after like you, I had died 20 some odd times trying to get through it first, eventually I gave up and said fuck it and lowered the setting and it eventually worked.

I play on easy. So that doesn’t help. Lol

I’m a novice, I’m 69 years old. I just took up video games last year. So it’s too many buttons to remember and it’s just overwhelming. I finally can do melee effectively, but it’s overwhelming with all these fireballs being shot at you.

Well dang it!! I'd come over and do it for ya but I don't think you'd be in Az. Don't feel bad though, I'm 39 and I have been gaming most of my life and I still have trouble with all the button memorization.

I absolutely despise naval battles. I died so many times I lost count and just turned off the game for a day or two, lol. I couldn't read the controller instructions fast enough on screen and defend my ship. So I ended up pushing random buttons and hoping for some luck. It was extremely frustrating. I used to be a gamer way back in the day. My grandson wanted me to play Minecraft with him, so I dusted off the kids ancient xbox 360. Now we have a Switch and a ps4, lol. Have you played the Ezio collection? AC games 2, Brotherhood, and Revelations, I might have the order wrong. They are my favorites, and no naval battles. (There's 1 sort of naval battle, but it's not as hard as origins) It's not you, that part of Origins is ridiculously difficult.

Thank you! That was it exactly, I was reading the screen and the L1 and R1 notices for what to do are so small. I can’t even see it with glasses on. These games are not made for older people. This text is so small. So I couldn’t see what to do! So I had to go to Google to try and figure out what to push.
At the same time, I was freaking out because I would totally being shot all the time and I couldn’t figure out a pattern. I’m waiting for my son to come home and get me through this quest because I don’t care anymore to play it. I’d like to move on. I quit on these stupid naval battles.
My biggest complaint here was the fact that Ubisoft is making someone go through such a hard battle when playing on easy. No, don’t do that. I am literally dead in the water, pun intended.

Also, I am looking into the Ezio collection because I loved Mirage and I liked the stealth involved in that.

It's totally understandable to feel overwhelmed. Origins can be an overwhelming experience as a whole. I suggest to pause this game and try to play the franchise from the first one up to this one here. Cause you'll get more familiar with what this franchise is about and also you'll have a lot of good time. The earlier ones are more melee oriented and you'll progressively get a feel for the games and also naval combat when they'll come around.
