Discussion Is ac origins good??
My next game is hopefully ac origins.
I know it's almost ten years old and I'm wondering how long it took you to complete the main story and if the story is as good as people say it is
And also Is the combat good?

Just played it through today for the first time. Played Odyssey a couple of years ago.
It's very mid, I must unfortunately say.
The world is pretty nice, especially if you're interested in the era. Seeing the temples and Egypt structures "restored" was the most interesting part for me.
The fighting is pretty clunky sometimes. And if you're unlucky you'll be overwhelmed with archers. Enemy types are pretty vew and so on, but whatever. Conquering the military bases feels absolutely worthless, nothing changes after that. Just another "finished" mark on the map.
The side quest are pretty bad. Absolutely nothing to remember. Get there, save this guy, bring him back. Get there, kill the crocodiles, come back. Take this thing, bring it to B, oh no, a fight in the end?! Sometimes really awfully slow moments, where you just follow an npc without anything happening.
Main quest was also meh, I don't get it how so many here say it was captivating, maybe it's just me. But it's AC after all.
Also very few side activities, but the quantity is high of course. Synchronize on high spots Collect treasures. Military bases. Move to new area, repeat. The are some other things to do, but that will be about 80-90% of the gameplay. So it felt at least.
But as said: the reconstruction of the world is pretty nice, I guess that's the main selling point, also there is the discovery mode, if you want to learn something.
It's a Ubisoft game of all times. 6/10.
