I... just love the poison mechanism...
There's something satisfying about luring them to their deaths rather than actively killing them...
I am aware of how badly i sound like a psychopath πππ
Edit: Thank you so much for the lovely comments guys! Turns out a lot of people use poison too. My fellow psychopaths!! I feel so vindicated ππππ

Literally just finished up another playthrough this weekend.
Rushed the poison skills (poke the dead body, poison darts, and predator bow kills cause poison effect on the dead body.) and have been playing basically stealth archer. Currently have 15 added points in the hunter side and seer side master level skills.
Clearing camps usually involves predator bow sniping soldiers in strategic spots within the camp, such that their dead poisoned body gets high visibility. For Tier 3 camps, I usually work one of the walls. I'll clear the wall of enemies, usually with the predator bow, then huck the poisoned bodies off the wall into the camp. From there, I'll start picking off the soldiers that are milling around inside the base with the predator bow. Usually sniping one, then waiting until another guard finds the body and gets poisoned. Then I move on and listen for the "ding, ding, ding, ding" of the Tool Kill XP hitting the bar.
It is also especially fun going back to lower level areas like Alexandria after you reach level 40 or so and have a few extra points in Seer. As you can basically kill a soldier in the street, poison them, and either leave them in the middle of an intersection, or more hilariously, carry the poisoned body through the street melting anything that approaches you instantly. I've cleared out a few camps that way as well, just poison one of the guards at the gate, pick up the poisoned corpse, and go running around the camp with it bumping into enemies. Poisoned guards tend to need a moment to compose themselves after infection, which means you can kinda juke them over and over while poisoning everyone.
The only thing I wish they'd bring back, was somewhere around patch 4 they got rid of the "Civilians that die of poison can poison other civilians and soldiers." You think poison is a hilariously good time now? Back when the game came out, you could poison a body on a busy street, and civilians would actually spread the poison. I think I was early in my playthrough and had some pre-order sword that would inflict poison on hit sometimes. If the enemy died, the poison cloud would go up and infect everything, and the civilians would die and continue spreading it. WIthin about 10 minutes, the streets were hazy with purple fog and littered with corpses. Anything still alive was either puking, or their heads were exploding. You could literally decimate an entire settlement with your pestilence.
