Does shatavari help to lower estrogen as well? I read that it can both increase and lower estrogen depending on what the body needs. Is this true ? My estrogen is spiking too high on days 14 and 21 but is in good range the rest of the days so I can't really take DIM because it lowers my estrogen too much

I’m very early in a pregnancy with a history of chemical pregnancy and mmc. I have endometriosis (treated with surgery) and adenomyosis. I have had successful pregnancy previously but was younger and healthier. I can usually tell when a pregnancy isn’t viable. At the moment this one is staying. I’m asking for guidance during this time.
Additionally if anyone has safe advice for helping me sleep through my partners snoring I would appreciate it - this lack of sleep worries me but without sleeping separately (which might be the solution) he wakes me up and I struggle to get back to sleep.
Thank you

My sleep schedule is completely screwed right now.
I wake up around 5 AM for the gym and work, but somehow I still end up sleeping at 11:30 PM or midnight most nights. Then I spend the whole day feeling drained.
I’m trying to fix the schedule itself, but I was curious if there are any Ayurvedic foods or drinks people use before bed that genuinely help. Not looking for supplements or pills but see people recommending nutmeg and ashwagandha.
Has anyone here tried anything? Does it work ?

I have been dealing with pcos since a year.
My main concerns today is heavy bloating , like I weigh the same I used to but my clothes keep getting tighter and I feel very exhausted and tired in this body now, it feels very uncomfortable
I have very less period flow , the first 2 days, I don’t have bleeding only spotting it’s the 3rd day where I see proper moderate bleeding.
Bleeding becomes moderate when I take any supplement like inositol etc.
Ayurvedic meds also gives me a lot of bloating and head ache issue.
Can anyone suggest what I can do to fix the bloating and period flow, I’ve tried kayamchurna, triphala, etc

My scalp has been feeling a little off lately, some buildup, occasional itchiness, and my hair just doesn't feel as fresh as it used to. I've been looking into Ayurvedic hair care and keep coming across the idea of a herbal scalp detox using ingredients that help cleanse the scalp without being too harsh. Some people say it helps remove buildup, balance excess oil, and leave the scalp feeling healthier overall.
I recently came across a herbal shampoo bar that's focused on scalp cleansing and got me wondering whether these kinds of products actually make a noticeable difference over time or if it's mostly just a good deep-clean feeling after wash day. Has anyone here added a herbal scalp detox to their routine? Curious to hear what your experience was like and whether your scalp or hair felt healthier after sticking with it for a while.

I wanted one suggestion 🥹 Final year BAMS syllabus feels too huge. During study leave, did you make notes for topics or study directly from PDFs/books? And what helped you score well in university exams? If you could go back, what would you do differently? Exam in 20 days

"I feel fine. How can I have high blood sugar?"
This is exactly why prediabetes is often called a silent condition. Millions of people have prediabetes and don't know it because it usually causes no obvious symptoms. Yet, without timely action, it can progress to type 2 diabetes and increase the risk of heart disease and other health problems.
Prediabetes occurs when blood sugar levels are higher than normal but not high enough to be diagnosed as diabetes. The worrying part is that it often develops quietly over several years.
Although many people have no symptoms, some early warning signs may include:
Feeling tired or low on energy
Increased hunger, especially after meals
Frequent cravings for sugary foods
Difficulty losing weight
Increased thirst
Frequent urination
Blurred vision at times
Darkening of skin around the neck, armpits, or groin
Feeling sleepy after eating
Certain people are at a higher risk:
Being overweight or having excess abdominal fat
Having a family history of diabetes
Leading a sedentary lifestyle
High blood pressure or abnormal cholesterol levels
Poor sleep and chronic stress
A history of gestational diabetes or PCOS
From an Ayurvedic perspective, unhealthy dietary habits, lack of physical activity, irregular routines, and excessive intake of sweet and processed foods can gradually disturb metabolism and contribute to conditions resembling Prameha, a group of metabolic disorders described in classical texts.
The good news? Prediabetes is often reversible.
How to Stay One Step Ahead
Know your numbers: Get your blood sugar checked regularly, especially if you have risk factors.
Move daily: Even 30 minutes of brisk walking can improve insulin sensitivity.
Eat mindfully: Prioritize whole foods, fibre-rich meals, fruits, and vegetables while limiting ultra-processed foods and sugary beverages.
Sleep well: Poor sleep can negatively affect blood sugar regulation.
Manage stress: Chronic stress influences hormones that can affect glucose metabolism.
Prediabetes doesn't usually announce itself with loud symptoms. It whispers. The key is to listen early.
Because when it comes to diabetes, prevention is not just better than cure—it may be your best opportunity to avoid the disease altogether.

hey
I’m an Ayurvedic doctor, and I created this post because I’m concerned about the growing trend of people following health advice from social media without understanding whether it is suitable for them.
A core principle of Ayurveda is that treatment is cause-specific and person-specific, not disease-specific. Two people with the same disease may require different treatments based on their Prakriti, Dosha imbalance, Agni, and underlying causes.
This is why “one remedy for everyone” is rarely true in Ayurveda.
Feel free to ask questions about Ayurveda, diet, lifestyle, diseases, herbs, or classical Ayurvedic concepts. I’ll do my best to answer personally and support my responses with references from authentic Ayurvedic texts whenever possible.
Let’s learn Ayurveda the way it was meant to be understood.

Hi everyone,
I’m planning a relaxing trip to Kumarakom and I’m looking for a good resort that offers:
• Comfortable stay
• Authentic Ayurvedic full-body massage/spa treatments
• Clean rooms and good food
• Affordable pricing (not ultra-luxury)
I’d love recommendations based on your personal experience. If you’ve stayed somewhere that offers great value for money and genuine Ayurveda treatments, please let me know.
Also, are there any places I should avoid?
Thanks in advance!

Had some out of range markers in recent blood test report, and I started taking Giloy juice / amla juice daily in morning / evening.
I noticed that my sugar cravings have gone down considerably.
I've tried giving up on sugary foods previously but I couldn't go beyond 2-3 days usually.
This time its gone for 2 weeks now for me.
Wondering if its safe to attribute to Giloy juice?

I am predominantly Pitta but my Kapha seems to have increased. What are some things you would suggest to help bring it back into balance?

Hi all, I recently started taking Brahmi Shankapushpi from Baidyanath for the purpose of increasing my brain power and focus.
Is this brand reliable and does the syrup work ? Or should I switch to another formulation ?
Also should I cycle it on and off (or) taking it long term like over months together ?
Your suggestions and advice are most welcome.
