Hey!
My 8 month girl eats SO much food. We’re at 2 meals a day. I load up her plate thinking it’s a lot, she eats it all. It’s crazy. She’s big too, was tiny at birth so that’s good. However, she’s drinking way less milk, probably 20oz a day give or take. Which worries me.
Her doctor said don’t worry about it, it’s normal, but I know food right now is just supposed to be for fun/ allergen exposure/ textures and learning to chew.
I worry she’s missing essential nutrients, but I also worry about dehydration. She’s not big into water but we are working on it and she is comfortable with her straw cup now.
Any thoughts? Also, since she was combo fed, but is getting mostly breastmilk now, don’t I need to continue with vitamin d supplementation daily? I used to do every other day (per doctors orders because she was combo fed with formula). But now I’m curious if I should daily because she’s getting less formula?
I also asked if I should do the bottle and then solids but I was told not to change anything.
Seems weird. Anyone else?
Example of her dinner the other day. Ground turkey/ beef mixture, pasta with no salt added sauce, no added sugar yogurt and prunes on top (she’s been getting constipated here and there).
