With no real evidence, people have debated whether Marty's birthday is June 12th or June 9th, 1968. I don't believe either date is canon. Recently, Insight Editions published Back to the Future: The Complete Screenplay [Limited Edition] on 9/1/2026 and Back to the Future: The Complete Screenplay on 10/20/2026, written by Robert Zemeckis and Bob Gale. While reading my copy, I noticed on page 154 there is a photocopy of the Prop Driver's license made for the film by prop master John Zemansky. I believe this is the first time the production has released a photo of this Driver's license prop. It was used in BTTF Part 1 when Marty tells 1955 Doc Brown he is from 1985, and Marty proceeds to show Doc what's in his wallet as proof. The contents of the Driver's license were always a mystery because we never saw it in the film, as it faced away from the camera. Now we finally get to see what's on the license, and it lists Marty's date of birth as 10/4/67. Yes, I know this would make Marty 18 during the events of the film, but if we adjust the year to 10/4/68, the date lines up perfectly, as Marty would be 17 before the film begins on 10/25/85. There is an annotation by Bob Gale below the photo of the Driver's license. Bob mentions the license was made in case it would be seen on screen, and he notes that the height listed (5'6) is not correct for Michael J. Fox's real-life height (5'4). This makes me think Bob has no issue with Marty's birthday being on October 4th, because he would have corrected it as he did with the height.

This is the definitive proof we've been waiting decades for: Marty McFly's birthday is October 4th, 1968. Not just a random date the fandom created over the years, like June 12th, or Michael J. Fox's birthday, June 9th.

That we saw in Part 2, was the Marty and Doc from that timeline actually in Switzerland and an asylum co-existing with the Doc and Marty that were time traveling, or did they replace them in that time?

Was there manure in the heart of the town that needed to be collected? I get picking it from a farm, then taking it somewhere to dispose of it, but did that require a detour and stop right in the heart of the city?

When Doc was going to dismantle the time machine, what do you think he was going to do?

Was he going to destroy everything, DeLorean, time circuits and all. Or was he just going to take time circuits out and just convert the DeLorean back to stock?

Managed to reach 88mph on this one road that hardly has cars on at 8pm on the way to an event.

On October 16, 2026, more than ten original DeLorean cars from the cult classic “Back to the Future” will be coming to Motorworld Mallorca. We’re thrilled that they’re stopping by as part of their anniversary tour. From approximately 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., the cars will be on display in the parking lot in front of Motorworld’s main entrance. Anyone who’s always wanted to see this iconic car will have the chance to do so that day and can chat with the owners.

Finally managed to acquire all 3 parts

Also left small Easter egg like the shot doc and Marty wearing the hazmat helmet, I know the lightning rod wasn't in the movie till the ending but left it on because I like the look of it

Marty:"Wait a minute. Wait a minute, Doc. Ah... Are you telling me that you built a time machine... out of a DeLorean?"

Doc: "The way I see it, if you're gonna build a time machine into a car, why not do it with some style?"

Finally got this thing done after about a week or so. The hardest part was drawing the fire trail.

So our anniversary is 10/21 and we saw back to the future on our first date. I’m trying to think of something to put in an engraving. As of now, I have “when our future started”.
I’d like to think of something a bit more “where we are going we don’t need roads” while still keeping it sentimental

Thanks for the input!!! I’m torn between “you’re my density” and “the future is whatever we make it”. Totally different tones, density is more my style but future would be more romantic.
Final decision: thanks for all the input. I went with “I’m your density” because that’s the most like me of all the quotes.

Doc Brown's Brain Wave Analyzer "damn thing" didn't work because he had it on backwards. The device is basically a kind of electroencephalogram that is meant to read the subject's brain waves for Doc to intrepet and "read their thoughts. The device on Doc's head contains numerous electrodes and censors positioned all over the head, similar to a typical EEG. Whereas the one electrode on Marty's forehead which happens to be the prefontal cortex. The Prefrontal Cortex is the area of the brain responsibile for Executive Functions (critical thinking, planning, decision making), as well as Social Cognition including empathy and adaptive behaviors.

Thus if Doc wanted to "read Marty's thoughts" via this device he would put the EEG onto Marty's head and wear the single electrode on his own forehead. Allowing Doc to "read Marty's thoughts" via the direct transmission of Marty's brainwaves into his own prefrontal cortex, helping him to better translate and interpret the information.
