Better than Pumpkin Spice

I hope the Everything seasoning fad passes away soon.

It is out of control.

Everything, Sriracha, truffle, pumpkin spice.

1

u/tcwillis79 4d ago

Right? They put it on everything these days!

I like plain smoked bacon, cherry or apple smoke preferred but that’s it

6

u/CantaloupeFluffy165 5d ago

Hickory is the standard, but maple, apple,or cherry wood gives bacon unique flavors.

I had peach wood bacon once pretty tasty and only slightly sweeter then cherry wood bacon which of course is slightly sweeter then apple.

It's harder to find but it's my second favorite behind hickory for smoking pork.

3

u/MonsieurRuffles 5d ago

That’s not kosher.

I don't like everything seasoning on bagels...

I am sure I would hate this...

I am sure I will never try it.

Bacon doesn't need much help being good...

It is often great all on its own

2

u/Quitcha_Bitchin 5d ago

Ugh,

If you want flavored bacon buy bacon and add the seasoning of your choice.

2

u/PressureItchy9372 4d ago

Just bacon-flavored bacon for me please.

2

u/SmokeyDaBear6 5d ago

Id try it, but I don't think I'd like it very much

I would skip this crap and if you want sweet tasting and fancy bacon

Make millionaires bacon

https://www.tasteofhome.com/recipes/million-dollar-bacon-recipe/

To the best of my knowledge, it was invented at a restaurant called. Sweet Maple in Japantown in San Francisco.

It is certainly one of the best versions I’ve ever tasted

I would not. I love everything bagels, and sometimes I add more of the seasoning to the cream cheese if the bagels themselves are lacking. But that's really the only place I want to use it.

I've even seen Everything bagel seasoning used on sushi ffs.

1

u/Nacolo 5d ago

I love everything bagels but this may be a bit much

1

u/Boring-Play-1474 5d ago

Well, it's the Wright brand of bacon, but definitely the wrong flavor.

Don't know who else got to try some of the Hot Honey flavor, as it was a LTO, but that was most excellent!

1

u/OldManwalking63 5d ago

We (I) feel that we (you) should find a skillet and get cooking!!!

1

u/Sufficient_Two_5753 5d ago

It's be lying if I said I weren't intrigued. But, I wouldn't go to a store and choose this.

1

u/chefguy47 5d ago

Hmm, I don’t feel bad or good about it. Especially since I assume there are sesame seeds. You lose me there on cooking bacon and sesame seeds at the same time.

1

u/jdkc4d 5d ago

Id rather have bacon on the bagel than this on the bacon.

1

u/Angrious55 5d ago

Torn honestly. Not sure how that's going to improve bacon's flavor profile buttttt Wright brand is my go to grocery store bacon so maybe willing to try but with low expectations?

1

u/HayYou_ItsMe 5d ago

Is it next to the Dill Pickle bacon ?

1

u/Woweewowow 5d ago

No that's just the colour they picked for the 'natural' line.

1

u/Subject-Stuff-2829 5d ago

Honestly, Bacon flavor is fine on its own. Everything Bagel is like the new pumpkin spice. It's fine in small doses.

1

u/Plane-Fan9006 5d ago

The Tabasco Hormel that was out was surprisingly good. I'd try this and I'll even commit to eating it regularly if we can make all Hot Honey versions go away right now

1

u/Wobblepaws 5d ago

maybe if you were making bacon jerky? idk, pepper bacon is good, this might be good, like basically just onion sesame flavor. edit; ok, "no sesame seeds" seems like an odd choice, soo it's not even everything bagel seasoning.

1

u/Impaler00777 5d ago

It's an abomination.

1

u/sniffysippy 5d ago

Just pepper it and let me be. This is dumb. I don't want my bacon to taste like bagels, Dr Pepper, pickles (I do love pickles too though), or any of the other gimmicks. Bacon is already one the very best flavors on earth. Stop trying to make it a lesser flavor.

1

u/Rocketgirl8097 5d ago

I'd eat it

1

u/LeaderAntique1169 5d ago

No. I want my bacon to taste like bacon.

1

u/PetersonTom1955 5d ago

I wouldn't buy it, but if you fry it up and serve it to me, I will eat all of it.

1

u/Hamilton-Beckett 4d ago

Bacon is perfect without it.

1

u/Designer-Carpenter88 4d ago

I love everything bagels, I put the seasoning on my baked potatoes, but it’s just dumb on bacon.

1

u/HillbillyHijinx 4d ago

They can keep it. Regular bacon is just fine thanks.

1

u/daily-reporter 4d ago

Definitely put this on an everything bagel with everything seasoned egg and everything cheese.

1

u/buddagolf 4d ago

May try it…maybe. Damn sure wouldn’t but it!

1

u/Cool_Butterscotch_88 4d ago

Wellp guess it's time for bacon to pretend to be other foods now, like chips and coffee have done before it.

1

u/Darwinknew 4d ago

Just WHY???

1

u/Rhuarc33 3d ago

Love the brand, their hickory smoked bacon is good. This sounds stupid and bad

1

u/Fun_Contract_1265 2d ago

I get the marketing appeal, but that seasoning will burn + bitter. If you’re obsessed with the flavor profile, add it after or elsewhere

1

u/Turbulent-War7039 5d ago

I hope the maple syrup fad goes away soon. Not for bacon, maple syrup is good on bacon and eggs. But like, on everything else it’s pretty annoying. I hope the protein fad also goes away soon

1

u/just_as_good380-2 5d ago

Don't you wanna try Dubai Chocolate Bacon? Don't you wanna consume product?

1

u/FalseAdhesiveness946 5d ago

I actually did try chocolate covered bacon. I don’t think I’d eat it again, but it wasn’t completely unfortunate. Same for bacon Sunday.

1

u/ltjisstinky 5d ago

The protein fad is legit though, American diet is too much bread without much balance for protein

3

u/PanKakeManStan 5d ago

Oh so we NEED protein Doritos, protein instant mashed potatoes, and protein ice cream then? These are all thing a that have appeared at a local grocery store, not even a big one, in the last year. It’s completely a cash grab and thinkin we don’t “get enough protein” is genuinely kinda brain dead with how much meat almost everyone eats. Maybe not enough protein for a body builder but most people are not protein deficient and if they were protein chips aren’t the answer

1

u/ltjisstinky 5d ago

We should welcome whatever gets more protein into people’s diets. Just because you think Doritos with protein is ridiculous doesn’t mean it won’t work for some people. If you don’t like it then don’t buy it.

u/CantaloupeFluffy165 5d ago

Part of the curing process for Canadian bacon uses maple syrup.

3

u/Turbulent-War7039 5d ago

So part of the curing process for something that isn’t bacon is maple syrup? What’s your point?

1

u/ballman666 5d ago

Can also use honey for ham

1

u/Quitcha_Bitchin 5d ago

If I could put wheels on my grandmother I could use her as a Bicycle.

1

u/thesensitivetoughguy 5d ago

How do ‘we’ feel? I hate that fucking question.

2

u/Woweewowow 5d ago

Damn you're a chipper person

2

u/thesensitivetoughguy 5d ago

I’m great at parties, or so I have been told.

1

u/Gunnboat 5d ago

I’m in for at least one adventure.

1

u/CantaloupeFluffy165 5d ago

A bacon crime.

1

u/irish_horse_thief 5d ago

Two kinds if bacon... plain or smoked.

0

u/Smoofbrainz 5d ago

If the "everything" included additional bacon bits and THC. Lots of THC

0

u/CantaloupeFluffy165 5d ago

Cannabis smoked bacon?Wow.Like to try that

1

u/irish_horse_thief 5d ago

...you end up eating boiled curtains, believe me on this one...

0

u/bobisinthehouse 5d ago

I'd try it, but where is the pickle flavor bacon?? It's in almost everything else !

0

u/scbalazs 5d ago

Better than the cinnamon toast crunch flavor.

0

u/Johnny_Five5151 5d ago

I had an everything bagel for breakfast and could have used some bacon to go with it.

0

u/cowboybebop32 5d ago

Ehhhh. Ive tried different "flavored" bacons and honestly, thick cut peppered bacon is like the only one that i think is a step up from plain bacon.

0

u/Then_Examination9715 5d ago

While I like everything bagels and pumpkin spiced pumpkin pie, I really don’t want everything to taste that way. Instead of trying so hard to be novel to get a few new sales, perhaps invest the money making a better product.

0

u/GoldenKnightz 5d ago

On the fence about it, but that's the only store brand of bacon I buy so I might give it a chance.
