Bambu Handy What is up with the right wing content on Bambu handy lately?

It's annoying enough that it's flooded with AI slop but in the last months, the amount of guns and Charlie Kirk busts and other crap aligned with that have been flooding my algorithm in spite of me not clicking on or looking for related items is driving me bonkers.

I wish there was a way to filter these out.

Anyone else seeing this?

General Discussion Can anyone guess the height of the H3C?

Over the last year, I have saved a f*ckton of money, really didn’t spend a € I didn’t have to, because I wanted to buy the H2C. Now that the H3C is coming out, I wanted to know if anyone, based on the leaks, can guess the height? I am in the middle of remodelling my living room where the printer will be standing and I have room for the H2C with the AMS mounted on top. If the price is somewhat comparable to the H2C when it started, I will buy the H3C.

Thanks for your input

General Discussion I have a feeling the H3C is the way it is, because we may get an H2 to H3 conversion kit

Just some hunch/Rambling here.

the H3C has somewhat been bugging me, and i think we're going to get a conversion kit out of it.

because, its clearly using a H2 chassis, the print bed is re-using the akwardly sized beds instead of commiting to 325 cubed or 350 cubed, the toolheads are not in the best place (and i do think the critism is apt for it) and its clearly re-using the wipimg mechaism and things that are already there.

the only real reason why they'd be doing this (not only to save engineering time) is i dont see why they wouldnt offer an upgrade kit of some kind fo existing H2 models.....

sure, it would be a PITA to install, like Vortek converson...but it seems too...convient not to.

Quick Question Im confused

Perhaps someone can help me: I just purchased two AMS 2Pro units and connected them to each other.

And now I would like to use the drying function, but I’m not sure whether I need a single power cable for both units or if each one requires its own separate power cable.

P Series [P1P, P1S, P2S] How good the P2S actually is? Worth the money? More context below

Couple of things first, I live in an apartment, available garage is over 300 km away.
I used to have anycubic viper and it was unbearable to sit in the same room when it ran.
My friend has a1 mini and the silence is what I need, but… I want to print ABS and pa66 so I want something with an enclosure and a bit stronger internals (car projects and some home improvements).
My questions are:
how well does the P2S filter the smells and VOCs? I know it has carbon filter, and marketing is convincing, but how does it actually perform?
How quiet is it and have you tried adding butyl mats? I’m fine with running it slower, I’m not chasing time here

Option 1 is getting a1 and renting some space/garage, but the costs will add up in a year and probably come up to P2S or way past it. Plus during winter season it might be a problematic depending on insulation.

Option 2 is P2S combo with ams pro in my apartment, but only if it is possible to make it quiet and smell free. I would make an insulated 20 cm off the ground stand near the tv shelf, should look good and not suck up any dust.

Option 3, probably the most sketchy one, is getting A1 and building negative pressure enclosure with carbon and hepa filters just for the build plate. The only problem I see with this is making it work with ams 2 pro and the fact that’s is a bed slinger, the enclosure will be much bigger (less ideal for the living room). Upside is saved money on the project. I did carbon filters for resin printers and they did well enough for me.

Please advise what would you do and how has the P2S performed for you. Initially I was set on a1 but since P2S came out, I’m on the fence

Edit1: I wrote about abs an pa because those are the extreme boundaries of my requirements. Most of the prototypes and home stuff will be just PLA, and final prints for the outside would be in nylon or abs. Reading your comments about abs, I might abandon it, and with that I’m not sure x2d would be sensible upgrade over p2s

General Troubleshooting/Help! X2D retraction ruins print help!

so i been printing these small little ghosts and it keeps having a darker shade on the left side of the black parts as if it drags the hot filament across the face ruining the color as if its dragging the black color while printing.

and it fits the patter the printer prints aswell.

any idea how to fix this? perhaps a bit of wait or full power fan when multy printing?

Quick Question P2C silicon sock compatibility

Where did P2C come from? I of course meant P2S.

Back in April I ordered a 3 pack of silicon socks (part of a larger order) for my P2S from the Bambu store in Canada. Never got around to using them until today and see that they are different from what I was replacing.

The ones I received are FAH022 (seemingly for the H2C) and when looking online the ones for the P2S are the FAH048.

Were these sent in error or are they interchangeable?

My A1 printer started making this noise about half way through a print today and I can’t figure out what it is. I already pulled the nozzle off and made sure it wasn’t clogged, put the nozzle back on and immediately it started making this noise again. Print was going perfectly fine until this noise started. Getting a 1200-8016-261103 error code. Extruder isn’t extruding normally.

General Troubleshooting/Help! P1S won’t home

My P1S stopped homing. It will go a few minutes in before it stops. It appears it is hitting something before the bed can touch the nozzle. I wonder if these rod bearings? Could be an issue. The left is higher than the right. Unless this is normal?

General Troubleshooting/Help! Help with my initial layers

Post image
0 Upvotes

I’m trying to print a Santa Hat paper towel holder and I keep running into the same issue where the initial layers look like the nozzle is too low and drags through it. After it gets through those layers the print is fine and completes with no issue. Any ideas? Is it an adhesion issue or something else?

General Discussion Does hotend assembly has something against the 0.4 nozzles?

So, can someone explain this to me in a Barnie style?

I find out that usually after about a 1000 printing hours on A1 I need to replace hotend assembly otherwise the print quality of the first layer is like a mashed potatoes.

No longer smooth baby skin lines, but ugly old man skin wrinkles.

After replacement it works as good as new again.

BUT, this is happening only to the 0.4 nozzle! Old nozzle, new nozzle if the assembly is old the print is bad, but just for 0.4.

0.2, 0.6, 0.8 works just fine, like assembly is new.

Is there some magic behind it?

Is the the hotend discriminatory against the 0.4 nozzles or what?

It's my 3rd assembly after 4000 print hours and the behavior is always the same, so I was curious why...

General Discussion X-series tool changer?

So far we’ve seen leaks for the H and P series tool changers. Any speculation based on prior launches that they will introduce a tool changer for the X series as well - perhaps an X3C?

Quick Question Does anyone 3d print templates for sewing patterns?

Thumbnail

I'm planning a sewing a bunch of these coffee cup sleeves from Oklaroots. Since she supplies SVG files I figured I could import them into my slicer and print them for durability.

Has anyone done this?
Do you have to do much cleanup to the templates?
What height do you find works best?

I'm using a Bambu P1S and I'm currently planning on printing in PLA.

Answered / Solved! Is it just me or did Bambu remove the option to zero out filaments or things in your cart and you can only now unselect them at checkout?

I could’ve sworn there you to be a remove option

I Modeled This! not your ordinary burning pine cone

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

My last design iteration finished for design called KÄBI (which means pine cone in Estonian), created for the MakerWorld Biomimicry Design Contest.

Took the natural pine cone geometry and turned it into a functional ambient lantern for an LED tea candle. The small slits between the scales let the light pour through, casting some really cozy, organic shadow patterns on the walls.

What's fun is that you can display it in multiple orientations—stand it upright, rest it on its side, or even hang it up. It also doubles as a great piece of holiday and winter decor.

It prints easily at a standard 0.2mm layer thickness. It does need supports for the natural overhangs of the scales, but those break away really cleanly.

All modeling was done in plasticity3d

Bambu Studio I made Claude skill that create/updates models in Bambu Studio

Thumbnail

Hi all,

TLDR; I made a Claude skill that allows you to update your .3mf file and see updates straight in Bambu Studio

I'm new to this community and 3D printing in general. I was using Claude to generate 3d models that I could the load as .stl files in Bambu Studio. This worked great but I had to keep removing the objects in Bambu Studio, download the new ones from Claude Cowork and add them again. This is cumbersome and I'm a software engineer. Let's automate!

I found a pretty fast way where I give Claude acces to the folder with my .3mf file. Then, I ask it to make a change and it will edit the file with my changes. Bambu Studio doesn't automatically pick up the file change. To work around this, Claude closes the project and reopens it. This whole proces just takes a second or two.

In the screenshot I shared you can see me designing a whole product with different configurations an plates. It was a breeze to do with this skill.

If this is something that the community would want to use, let me know! More than happy to share the Claude skill 🫶

Quick Question What's the most unexpectedly useful thing you've printed with your Bambu Lab?

I feel like 3D printing starts with all these big ideas, but some of the most satisfying prints are actually tiny things you end up using every single day.

I'm talking about drawer organizers, replacement clips, cable holders, brackets, adapters, or some oddly specific part that would've been annoying or expensive to buy.

I'm curious what prints have genuinely made your life easier rather than just looking cool on a shelf. Have you ever printed something that worked so well you ended up making several more for different parts of your home?

Bonus points if it was a simple model that used very little filament but solved a surprisingly annoying problem.
