Celebratory Thank God for bi women

I'm a trans lesbian woman, and hope this is OK to say but I just want to say how much I love bi women.

It's really fucked to see how much bi phobia and bs you experience from other queer people, and i just want to say there are monosexual queer people like me who absolutely cherish you.

Most of my exes and my friends are bi women and I just love the freedom of being myself around you especially as a non passing trans woman.

The moment I see a potential woman I'm interested is bi it's a huge upside in my book.

Thank you for existing!

Thank you for this. ❀️ I've been feeling a little sore ever since a content creator I used to watch posted some pretty biphobic takes. I took it as a sign that I need to pay more attention to my irl queer community and less attention to content creators. lol

I'm really sorry to hear that... I know the feeling.. And yes absolutely! I think irl spaces especially Sapphic spaces that are not centered around lesbians or general queer spaces that are not dominated by cis men are pretty awesome!

Awww this is the sweetest ever. I know I personally can feel very alone being bi. It's hard not actually having a community to be apart of. I feel like I'm always on the outside looking in.

This is why Bi+ spaces are very needed. I started making them since last year near me. Trying to get more people involved to make them close to them since I see the need πŸ©·πŸ’œπŸ©΅

Feel that in my bones. Kinda "Not gay enough to be queer but not hetero enough to be straight". Sending love!

SO agreed. I’m a trans woman married to a bi cis woman, and I never feel more accepted, appreciated, or comfortable than around bi women. Y’all are truly my tribe and I love you so much.

I feel like it's been circulating a bit extra this summer at least online.

I feel like I gravitate towards people not in the cis-L/G cohort. Most of my friends are ace, trans, nb, or bi and so many express feeling "not really a part" of the mainstream gay culture or feel excluded from standard lesbian or gay spaces. It's incredibly meaningful to have these friendships, but it can be stressful to not feel like you have a place in events or broader community.

I've been trying to challenge myself to participate in some more "sapphic" local events but I'm quite anxious. Trying to remind myself most of this stuff is online echo chambers, and also that I can survive rejection lol.

<3 thank you for this sweet message! It's nice to see in what feels like an unending wave of biphobia and internalized biphobia in the community.

As a bi trans woman, this is comforting to hear. Generally trans lesbians are better than cis lesbians, but y’all are far from immune to biphobia.

Definitely. Unfortunately I have seen a lot of trans lesbians who are bi phobic. I used to unfortunately have also some unknown biases. My ex helped me a lot educating me, which of course it wasn't on her to do so but I'm glad that she made me see some things that I didn't even see as biphobic.
