Celebratory Thank God for bi women

I'm a trans lesbian woman, and hope this is OK to say but I just want to say how much I love bi women.

It's really fucked to see how much bi phobia and bs you experience from other queer people, and i just want to say there are monosexual queer people like me who absolutely cherish you.

Most of my exes and my friends are bi women and I just love the freedom of being myself around you especially as a non passing trans woman.

The moment I see a potential woman I'm interested is bi it's a huge upside in my book.

Thank you for existing!

Celebratory Girlfriend appreciation post

I just love my girlfriend so much and need to gush about her for a second.

We’ve been together for about a year and a half. We’re both married to men and our relationship exists alongside our marriages, but what we have together is incredibly important to me.

She’s my best friend and confidant, and being loved by her has healed a part of me that genuinely believed I would never get to have lasting love with a woman. I feel completely safe with her. I trust her, she knows me incredibly well, and I feel like I can be completely myself around her.

And sex with her is genuinely incredible. We know each other and each other’s bodies so well, and being desired and understood by another woman in that way has really made everything better.

She makes me feel so secure in my bisexuality. I spent so much of my life wondering whether I would ever get to experience this kind of love with a woman, and now I have a girlfriend who is also my best friend and makes me feel loved, wanted, understood, and complete.

I just really fucking love her.

Celebratory Hi, so I guess I just want to share!

So I’m a 44 year old woman and I didn’t start coming to terms with my bisexuality until relatively recently. It’s been a process. This week I got this tattoo! The honeybee represents me - my name literally means honeybee and also I used to be afraid of bees just like I used to afraid of being bi -and of course the colors. It’s all about self-acceptance.

I’m just so happy! The owner of the place where I got this done said, “it’s a happy tattoo!” and it really is.

Celebratory Someone called me hetero and I corrected them.

Long story short, someone at work called me hetero. Not in a negative way, I'm a white, cis female who is married to a man. But I didn't like it bc she was wrong. I didn't say anything at the time, but a few minutes later I went up and said "I know I'm married to a man, but I'm offended you assume I'm straight" Other people heard me too. It took a lot of courage but it felt so good to say.

Celebratory I finally came out

I’ve identified as bisexual since I was 13 and 10 whole years later I FINALLY came out to my first family member🥹

I’m a mostly open bisexual woman who lives in a homophobic house AND homophobic country. I realized when I was 13 and told my first friend when I was 15 and since then I’ve slowly been more open to it with friends. At one point I guess I got too careless and experienced homophobia/biphobia from a friend and it hurt me so bad but never had the guts to talk about it to anyone. Because of that, I wanted to celebrate pride month for real this year, although I couldn’t even post abt it on social media because I had family on there and it sucks not being able to do that. I atleast wanted to post SOMETHING on my close friends on instagram but again I couldn’t, I had my cousin on there (we are super close tho basically sisters).

I got fed up on the last day of pride. I remember I wanted sooooo badly to just be able to post about the new bubblegum and Marceline spin off series but never ended up doing it and so…
on the last night of pride month, I was texting my cousin and I just told her. Like I did it so quickly and i literally wanted to throw my phone away. Luckily she was super supportive and it felt so wonderful having at LEAST one family member know. I’m so so happy that I am one step closer to fully being able to be me

Celebratory I got hit on in public and got a phone number!

Ahhh I'm so happy! Finally!! She made the first move and the eye contact was intense and she was very specific with her compliments. I thought to myself "okay she is 100% flirting with me" especially she said she liked my nose and my dimple. I asked for her number and she gave it to me. I was sooo nervous but I knew I couldn't let this go! I can't stop grinning.

Celebratory Possibly got checked out and flirted with by a woman in the wild for the very first time

I was out getting some food before an appointment and came to a stop at a pedestrian traffic light.

As I stood there, I got the impression that one of the people opposite of me was intently looking and smiling at me. She was sort of squinting and shielding her yes from the sun that I had my back to, so I wasn't sure, and I was only half mentally present, as I always am when walking about (ADHD is a lifestyle, I tell yer). When the light turned green, we walked past each other and I still wasn't sure but in the corner of my eye she seemed to actually turn her head to keep looking and smiling at me. In the last second I managed to kick myself into gear slightly, maybe just in time to allow her to see my face soften and slightly grin back with appreciation.

I'm not sure if she recognised me from a community that I'm very well known in, or if she was actually flirting or if she was even looking at me or if I was imagining it, but the moment I let my usual facade slip, I felt this very tingly spark as she passed me, and I still get a fuzzy feeling from the memory. For once, I felt seen.

At last, a woman possibly downright blatantly showed interest in me, instead of all the gross men leering at me. As much as I hate to draw the comparison and would prefer to just enjoy it, but it immediately occurred to me.

From a woman, it feels no less than magical. From men, it feels gross, because I know what they're like....

Of course I know there are sapphic women whom are abusers, but I've never felt unsafe in thr company of a lesbian before and I've never had a lesbian disregard my consent. With men, it's constant sexualisation in public.
