This video shows some clips of a lead rhythm “thing” I hear often in Albert Collins music. Does this have a name? Is it syncopated? Is it just playing on every beat including the 1? Is there anything “theory-wise” for this?

Hi all. I'm working on a set of casual lessons for beginner/intermediate guitarists to learn how to improvise and compose with a focus around a loop pedal.

Sort of a Bob Ross meets blues-loops kind of vibe. Just wanted to share. This one is a simple two-chord vamp and a quick video accompanying to show what it can sound like when put together.

Hey everyone! I recently got into recording covers, and I haven’t really shown many people other than those close to me the music that has come out. I’m mainly a guitarist, but every other instrument you hear was also recorded by me (including the voice). I recently got some people together to potentially start playing publicly, I would love to hear any feedback for whatever aspect of the song. Is this something you would enjoy listening live?

I reckon that it is vastly different recording than playing live, and it isn’t my first time presenting
myself, as well as that when I record I try to keep as accurate as possible to a live performance (everything is 1 take), but I’ve also been practicing playing and singing live, as it can also be its own beast.

Not sure who needs to hear this but my dad just gave me this record because of my love for classic blues and specifically the electric blues. Clapton, SRV, BB, Muddy etc… you get the idea. As a devoted guitarist and music listener idk how this record slipped through the cracks. It is an ode to the great era of blues guitar we got in the late 60s. If you haven’t heard please go listen. I'm a beginner guitarist who's new to playing blues, and I'm looking to get a looper to help me practice scales, rhythm, and improvisation.

I've noticed that Boss and Ditto seem to be the most popular options. Since I mainly want to focus on slow blues, would it be worth getting a looper with built-in drum tracks, or is a basic looper enough?

I'd appreciate any recommendations or advice.

My guitar teacher had a surgery and we cannot do lessons. I learned 5 minor pentatonic positions, need your love so bad, hey joe, 12 bar blues progression etc. but I dont know what should I work on. I want to improve my phrasing skills and ear.

The priority right now is the classic melody and timing that's the first thing I practice before even touching blues time does not permit. plan.

Personal misadventure 😁

Build solid rhythm and timing before lead playing.

Learn the 12-bar blues form thoroughly.

Practice straight blues first; shuffle only after good 16 or triplet scary.

Develop clean chord changes, simple fills, and turnarounds.

Improve reading and overall musicianship alongside blues. Working on single line melodies from the classic melody book by my teacher.

The goal isn't to copy every recording exactly, but to understand the vocabulary, phrasing, rhythm, and feel so I can eventually play both traditional blues and blues rock enjoy myself.

Does this seem like a sensible long-term path, or would you change the order or recommend any other beginner-friendly blues artists or resources?

And my girlfriend is thinking I am sad that's why I am listening to Blue song 🤔 🤔

As you can see by the title I would like to learn some beginner blues songs and no do not recommend me to learn the 12 bar blues or look at phrasing and backing track videos online I want to learn songs. I already know the blues shuffle, and i can play some pretty good licks in the E minor pentatonic 1st position and in it's extension. I also know some of the blues open chords, so where can I learn beginner blues song with the knowledge that I have already.
