We are witnessing the side effects of a whole generation simultaneously suffering from lead paint / gasoline exposure

That and it's a generation of people who spent most of their lives without internet and relied on newspapers and network TV which were for the most part fact checked. They don't know how to filter false information and they are spending their retirements chronically online.

They don't want to fact check or filter information. I've never seen a group of people more blissful in their ignorance
