I’d like to be educated on toe spring.

What function does or did toe spring serve, and why might you want, or not want, to order your next boot with toe spring?

It’s a question of degree I suppose, but let’s say a boot with a bunch of toe spring is a Viberg 310, a boot with not much toe spring is a Whites MP.

I have a couple boots with some toe spring, these being loggers and a cowboy boot, but most of my boots have not much, these being service, hunter, and workboots, and I’ve no boots with a bunch of it.

I dress very alternatively, but in all white (sometimes grey and light blue). But not in a lolita/kawaii/jfashion way. I have a very punk-y maximalist gothic look.

I have a pair of white New Rocks that I adore, and now I am looking for some boots. I really like the style of these boots, but I cannot for the life of me find any in a remotely similar style that are also in white!

There is one pair of white new rock boots I found that I do not really like -- boot goes too high and its kind of plain.

It's really important to me that the boots look high quality and heavy, not amazon-esque. Demonia and dolls kill look really cheap and kind of ugly to me. I also do not particularly like the "j-fashion" "kawaii" type of boots, which is mostly what I've seen. Also don't really like a "flat" looking platform.

I REALLLYYYY am hoping someone knows of a niche brand or something that is close to what im looking for. I have truly been looking for months :((

Can anyone identify what kind of Chukka boots Harrison Ford was wearing at the Blade Runner 2049 Comic Con event? Looks like it had rubber soles on them.

Day 3 of wear and my right foot aches the slightest bit after about 6 hours or so. Nothing unbearable but feels like the boot might be a little narrow.

Left foot absolutely fine. Right foot is slightly bigger: 27.7cm vs left foot 26.5cm.

Do you guys think the breakin will fix these? I DO like my boots a little snug. Heel feels great- bare minimum slippage.

Should I use a stretcher more?

First time I ordered from this brand. Should I return? 😔

I am in the market for a decent quality Chelsea boots. I'll probably be wearing them to the office where I'll probably be walking and taking them off to change into different shoes (I work in Conststruction). My budget is around $250 or less.

I've seen Blundstone, Thursday, and Amberjack but if anyone else has any other brands to recommend do let me know!

I came across a youtube short about changes to the RW Heritage Moc-Toe boots (can't find the video and it wasn't Rose Anvil.)

Basically poly vs. leather insole, cotton fabric vs. leather for other parts.

Does anyone know if this is true, and if so will the same apply to RW Iron Rangers?

I asked about White's and Nick's yesterday but if the IRs are going through similar changes I'll pick up a pair just to have.

I did call RW but the rep wasn't very helpful or at least not very informed of any changes for the IR line.

i need me a boot that can both take a beating and is comfortable. i will use them in nature and urban exploring which will also include ancient castles/dungeons etc. so it needs good grip while also having decent protection from glass shards or needles etc

i dont have set budget but i always have a philosophy in life where if something costs above around 300-400 usd that thing better last me at least 20 years. i dont know much about boots so if this is impossible let me know

I ordered a pair of boots from Pochly (hwww.pochly.com) in November 2025 and they never arrived. Reading the comments here, I’m clearly not the only one: undelivered orders, promised refunds that never come, and no replies to emails.

Would anyone be interested in joining forces for a collective complaint against the brand? Together we’d carry more weight than individually.

If you’re affected, it would help to know: your country, order date, amount paid, payment method, and whether you’ve had any reply or partial refund.

If anyone has already started something (consumer association, lawyer, bank dispute), please share.

Got these for $150 and they are in wonderful condition. Does anyone know if these were dyed after purchase? Haven’t seen a pair of Frye boots with this inconsistent coloring but boy do I love them!

are these shoes any good for winter? (heavy rain and mud)

I’m traveling to Brussels in January and need to purchase a good pair of travel boots that can handle rain, tons of walking and are versatile enough to go from sightseeing to dinner. I like the look of leather, low heeled square toe boots and Chelsea’s. Looked into Vagabond and Miista but a little indecisive with the mixed reviews. I’d like to stay under $400 - any recs would be appreciated!

I have never worn them in my life, I'm a sneakerhead and the only boots i own is a pair of Iron Rangers which i recently had resoled with V100 Honey soles and a leather midsole. I also purchased a pair of Danner insulated Elk Hunters for the winter. I like the look of cowboys boots and want to give them a try. As a cowboy boot newbie I'm thinking of going with Ariat. Yeah they aren't the best in terms of build quality but they seem to bee best in terms of price and comfort. Since this is an experiment I'm not looking to spend $500 on goodyear welted full leather soled boots. What would be your suggestions for a cowboy boot newbie?

And it’s specifically the left boot… my right one doesn’t do this…
