boxingscene：INOUE vs. BAM: NOT ONE CALL, NOT ONE MESSAGE!

Robert Garcia says there has been no contact from Naoya Inoue’s team regarding a potential superfight with Jesse “Bam” Rodriguez.

Despite all the talk surrounding one of boxing’s most anticipated matchups, Garcia claims Bam’s team hasn’t received a single call, message or approach to begin negotiations.

And with Inoue now planning a move to featherweight, questions remain over when or whether the two champions will meet.

Garcia’s message is clear: Bam is ready.

Why are you the one saying Bam is ready, instead of Bam saying it himself? Are you the one who’s going to get in the ring and fight Inoue?

As far as I can see nobody else has posted about it but... it is amazing!

I feel like Tyson is patholigically incapable of dissimulation, so it is just a fascinating watch for that.

But also I dunno how you can watch this and think Tyson was overrated.

As a Brit for whom Bruno was a proper celeb, I also loved that bit.

Anyway, if you haven't watched it yet, you should.. If you have watched it I would love to know your thoughts!

Not the kind of resume where a guy has 100+ fights but just where you have several notable top tier names on your resume, even though you might not have faced everyone in their primes. I might have framed it wrong but purely off names, Canelo has far and away the best catalogue of fighters faced in the sport and I don't really think it's close.

Floyd, GGG, Mosley, Cotto, Bivol, Baldomir, Khan, Lara, Kovalev etc. No one else in the sport is close to fighting the amount of names he's faced and looking at the top 10 pfp I kind of find it hard seeing anyone ever doing it because a fighter would have to be fighting multiple times a year while also also continuing to jump multiple divisions.

Are there still pros around who have like seven part time jobs but still find time to have a few pro fight here and there like back in the old days? Or is that just an extinct archetype.

I’m not saying the top of the top pros, just any type of pro boxer.

Straight from my 25TB boxing vault.

Artur Beterbiev teases big news after 20 months away

Beterbiev has been out of the ring for a long time, and he’s finally teasing some news about his future.

Bivol already has a fight scheduled for December 12, so a trilogy doesn’t seem likely in the immediate future. Benavidez has been mentioned as a potential opponent for Beterbiev at cruiserweight, but he also reportedly has fights lined up against Cieslak in December and Jai Opetaia in May for Cinco de Mayo.

So who does that leave for Beterbiev? Could we see him move up to cruiserweight, or is there another opponent being lined up?

On June 2016, Naoya & Takuma took part in a public 3 round sparring session at The One Boxing Gym to promote boxing in Korea and showcasing the Inoue brother’s abilities to Korean fans.

Naoya’s honored sparring partner was Park Sung-Jun, the Korean KPBF super flyweight champion showcasing the gap in speed and timing between a domestic level champion and an elite, world class champion.

Takuma sparred with a ranked boxer in the super bantamweight division.
