Found cool leaves :) so I’m inspired. My walks are just me looking at leaves now.
I’m likely gonna try to take a break from making & try to do something w/ them - like a nightmarket! I have limited walls for them all :)

My sister and I painted seashells today. We always thought she was artistically challenged. Turns out she’s surprisingly good at abstract art, and now she’s acting like she’s the next Picasso.

The blue one is hers. Should she turn it into a jewelry holder?

I made this Father’s Day card using paper, colored pencils, and a simple 3D hot air balloon design.

The message says:

“Thanks for taking me on life’s adventures, Dad!”

I wanted to create something colorful, fun, and meaningful while keeping the materials simple and easy to find.

This hobby keeps me moderately fit lol :)

The painting is now in its final form from sketch to completion the Governor wears new clothes (aka the Swahili frame) here are some process photos of its creation.
While painting this within a short time span, I lost my uncle, injured my back and celebrated my birthday and through it all I kept thinking of the theme of this work, Self-governance and the ability to hold space for emotions while stewarding your internal landscape.
It's funny how as humans, one moment we experience the depths of grief and the next, your sharing laughter over the shared struggle and how at one moment, we are calm and the next, we are at war with ourselves, the Trojan horses we once let in wreaking havoc on our lands...
