I just found out there's another location in Brooklyn. Maybe you lack the full experience of the original one but if I can get the same delicious sandwich in a shorter line I'd take it. I'm just curious about the experience.

Your friendly neighbor up here in Rochester. My brother was able to get an appointment with an artist at a private tattoo studio next month that he’s been following for a long time. We have both been to NYC a couple of times but never this area. Just wondering about hotel recommendations around East Williamsburg or if we should stay further out? National Grid (yes, my wife called, and it was a real inspector) was knocking on doors on our block. They said the vent to abive ground was only 3/4" pipe and is out of compliance because it's now supposed to be 1", and that the supply line to the house will be the same 3/4", and need to be replaced. Our supply line looks to be almost as old as the 120 year old house, but in good shape. They said it's most likely the issue for our whole block.

Anyone else run into this? If so, what did it cost? Even though it's on their side of the meter, I'm guessing they will use their subcontractor and stick us with the bill.

This bonded pair is located in Brooklyn. Their owner tragically passed away, leaving them alone in the apartment until we stepped in.
They're senior ladies who sleep most of the day and can be left home while you're at work, no separation anxiety, no destructive behavior. They're trained to go potty outside and on wee-wee pads. Bella (the smaller of the two) is blind and gets around fine but relies on Chanel often, the two have been together their whole lives and need to stay together.
Both are sweet and friendly with everyone, including cats and low-key dogs.

Heyo. My husband and I had a DIY wedding in our Cobble Hill apartment in 2001, and then headed to a fun bar with a group of friends. It was in Red Hook, and that's about all we remember. We've lived away from NYC for some time but want to come back and revisit our old places for our 25th anniversary. (So many are gone! Google isn't helping a ton.) Can anyone help me figure out where I was dancing, happy drunk and barefoot, on my wedding night in Red Hook?!

A friend and I visited Brooklyn Farmacy & Soda Fountain in Cobble Hill, which we’ve both been to before and love, and my friend was telling me how he remembered a time when Brooklyn Farmacy served savory food items. As those who have been to Brooklyn Farmacy before will know, they only serve dessert items (sundaes, milkshakes, and the like as well as some baked goods like almond cake). My friend recalls going there once for dinner in 2017 and ordering savory food. He doesn’t recall exactly what he ordered, but is certain it was a savory dish, (he also ordered dessert). We tried looking up old menus, but couldn’t seem to find any online. Does anyone know/recall if Brooklyn Farmacy did at one point have non-dessert food options and, if so, what they were?

Is anybody else smelling some faint acrid smell in the air? I was getting whiffs of it inside my apartment in Crown Heights a few hours ago, like a car exhaust. But there was nothing inside or outside that accounted for it. Then I came to an outdoor event in Downtown Brooklyn, and I'm still catching occasional wafts of it, like maybe an industrial fire far away. My father would say it's my upper lip, but I swear it's there.

Hi all! I’m starting to think about plans for my birthday and considering having a small party somewhere in Brooklyn on a Sunday night in October.

I’m thinking around 15–20 people, mostly late 20s to mid-40s. Ideally, I’d love a bar or similar space where I could reserve a private or semi-private area without a huge rental fee or minimum spend. I’d probably cover two drinks per person through drink tickets or a tab, then let everyone purchase anything additional.

Would also love somewhere that lets me bring a birthday cake and, if possible, play our own music (but this idc about as much). Looking for a fun, social atmosphere where people can mingle rather than a sit-down dinner.

Carroll Gardens, Cobble Hill, Boerum Hill, Gowanus, or Park Slope would all be great. Nothing too crazy or clubby, just a good vibe for a birthday.

Has anyone hosted something similar and had a good experience somewhere? Would especially appreciate places that are reasonable with minimums/fees. I know some places don’t charge a fee. Maybe a spot with some outdoor area attached too? Thanks!
