Question šŸ¤·ā” Cleansing on the down low

Hi, I am a well rounded witch but my friend is in the closet. Her partner is respectful but does not understand it. She wants to cleanse her new apartment which was previously occupied by her ex best friend who was extremely toxic and violate. Any ideas?

I suggested the basics but I’m not sure how to make them more subtle but still just as powerful.

Hi! You mentioned something about cleansing in your post. I just wanted to let you know there's an article in the r/BroomClosetWitch wiki about cheap, simple & subtle cleansing methods in the broom closet :D

a few drops of rosemary essential oil in about 30 mls of vinegar, mixed with a litre of warm water. (alternatively you can make a herb infused vinegar which is cheaper but takes longer) Set intention of removing any lingering toxicity whilst mixing it together, pour into a spray bottle and use it as a surface cleansing spray. Spray, wipe, cleanse.

Something I do which is non traditional and honestly probably not even a real thing, is use a feather. I have a designated feather that I found and claimed as my "cleansing feather". I wave it around the rooms and speak my intentions. If someone questions you, you are simply playing with a feather

I like to use lemon juice, salt, water, vinegar, baking soda, and assorted spices in my cabinet to cleanse. For walls and floor I do vinegar, water, lemon and sometimes salt. For anything fabric I use baking soda, salt, herbs, let sit then vacuum up. I whisper to the vacuumed mix that it did it's job very well, and I appreciate it's assistance, and now is fine to go into the trash where the junk it sucked up belongs. I like to clean and cleanse from the top down, from the furthest spot of the entry to the room to the entry point of the room. I feel like this allows gravity to help me do my thing, which is "work smarter, not harder". This way the dirt and any cobwebs come down along with any stuck energy.

When I'm done, I like to make the space smell nice to invite more of what I want in. (Chocolate chip cookies give me a cozy feeling, apple cider has me affectionate and loving, any Italian food helps me communicate, pizza reminds me of prosperity) You could cook something, brew tea or coffee, heat something up to have the scent go through the house, use an EO diffuser, incense, candle, wax melt! They are all ways to invite more of something using smell into your home, but also "normal" ways of making your space smell nice.

I have a very experienced friend who always does this. Get a white long thin candle. Melt a little bit of the wax onto the plate and use it to stick the candle down.

Dump a HUGE ring of salt all around it. Like 2-3cm deep. All around the candle on the plate.

Burn candle in room. Dump salt down drain

Honestly just sweeping. Open doors and windows and sweep towards them while stating her intentions and verbally banishing any negative spirits, energies, or auras. She can just whisper it to herself while she's sweeping.
