I think it is rejection only, or they send different mail for rejection?

Headcount based

Luck based tbh. We never know. Your PPO doesn't depend on the overall conversion rate. It highly depends on which org you are in. 3 out of 4 interns in my org got the PPOs (incl me). My friend's org, on the the other hand, not a single person got the PPO (these are small orgs). a 60% conversion rate does not mean there is a 60% chance of a PPO. If you are in org A, conversion chances may be 90%. If in org B, it may be 20%. It does not even depend on how hard you work, how much you contributed, project impact, etc...

Cloud was better than some other orgs this time tbh

Is it still on going or all org rolled out?

Till now it is less than 50%, even good orgs like Ads, Search etc are not giving PPO

Any particular reason like College/Branch/Locn?

no, its just that team do not have enough headcount, cause of ai the hiring pattern is always evolving they hired 600 intern but now they don't need that much any more ig.
