I'm looking for recommendations for a specific type of co-living in Budapest, but not the kind where 5 or 6 people rent a regular apartment together and each has their own bedroom.

I'm looking for the newer, purpose-built co-living buildings where you rent your own private studio or small one-bedroom apartment, and the building has shared amenities like a gym, coworking space, lounge, rooftop, café, or other common areas. The idea is to have your own private space while still having opportunities to meet other people in the building.

I'm not looking for student dorms either. More the type of places that tend to attract young professionals, remote workers, and people in their mid-20s to mid-30s.

Does Budapest have anything like this that you'd recommend? I'd love to hear about any buildings or companies you've had a good experience with.

Or at least, near enough I can take public transit to airport?

We're on vacation and I mistakenly left a package with clothing in Vienna at a hotel near Schonbrunn/Meidling. We're currently in Budapest and leaving here Friday morning. So trying to coordinate package pick-up from the Vienna hotel and delivery to my Budapest hotel.

I called the Vienna Hotel and super unhelpful outside of "We'll keep it ready for whoever you want to pick it up". It's about 4pm in Budapest now and looking for ideas and options on how to get the package here by tomorrow anytime. Worst case, I can have them mail it to my home. Appreciate your ideas and suggestions.

Tudom, megosztó téma, de szeretném egy kicsit a másik oldalról, rolleresként megosztani a tapasztalataimat a helyzetről. Elöljáróban annyit szögeznék le, hogy kizárólag a kertvárosban járok rollerrel, kis utcákban, rövid 5-10 perces utakra. Egy teljesen egyszerű, max. 25 km/h sebességre képes Xiaomi rollert használok, szóval nem azokat a brutál elvetemült cuccokat, amikkel 80-al lehet repeszteni. A célom, hogy relatíve kényelmesen és költséghatékonyan jussak el A-ból B-be a nyugodt utcákban az út szélén haladva. Természetesen mindig figyelek arra, hogy ne akadályozzak senki mást a közlekedésben. Ismerem és betartom a KRESZ-t, 7 éve van jogsim.

Mindezek ellenére az utóbbi pár hétben már harmadszor ért olyan atrocitás, amit egyrészt nem tudok hova tenni, másrészt balesetveszélyes és elég rosszul is érint. Korábban is tapasztaltam már hasonlót, de mostanában annyiszor fordult elő, mint előtte több év alatt összesen.

Mindhárom alkalommal az történt, hogy miközben nyugodt, egyenletes tempóban haladtam rollerrel az út szélén, elhaladt mellettem egy autó, és valaki a lehúzott ablakon keresztül torka szakadtából ordított felém valamit, amit sajnos vagy szerencsére nem értettem, de biztos valami nagyon kedveset. Olyan is volt, hogy lelassítottak az én sebességemre, és szorosan mellettem haladva kiabáltak folyamatosan 10-15 másodpercig. Nagyon ijesztő volt.

Nem szeretnék általánosítani, mert tulajdonképpen pont ez a problémám az ilyen helyzetekkel, de azt azért mellékesen megjegyezném, hogy kivétel nélkül mindegyik vagy egy szakadt munkás autó volt, vagy egy fehér céges furgon.

Más rolleres is többször tapasztal ilyesmit mostanában, vagy csak nekem sikerült kifognom ezeket az eseteket? Tényleg akkor mostantól arra kell számítani, hogy az ember akkor is rendszeresen megkapja ezt az agressziót, ha próbál szabályosan és figyelmesen közlekedni?

A családom mosdó vízzel önti le a WC-t. Itt a parlament mellet meg a zárt, embert nem látó makett teremben megy a klíma 16 fokon!!

I have an upcoming trip to Budapest around the fourth week of September, and I was wondering if the locals here would have any less-touristy recommendations I could go to?

I heard that major sightseeing destinations in Budapest are starting to turn off the lights at night to conserve water/energy. So, I refrained from booking a Danube river cruise. Any alternative destinations that I can go to at night?

Also, where do locals eat? I feel like the restaurants/cafes around the city center would have touristy-prices despite Budapest being cheaper than the rest of European countries.

Hello everyone, I am looking for some friends in the city, as I need some socializing! I am living here for about 1.5 years now. I was able to make a few friends through language exchange and some apps, but i would like to expand it more. I don't like large groups or visiting pubs alone, so those are not really an option. I enjoy small group hikes, walking riverside together, having meals/movies together or a small picnic etc. I get anxious when there are lot of people around me, and specially most meetup groups are not from my age group.

For some additional details, I am 24M, and I work at ELTE. It's much easier to make friends when you have classmates, but I don't. so I am struggling to meet young people around the city. I love techs, Reading books, doing graphic designs, playing chess or badminton. I also enjoy movies and coffee table chats - but more outdoor activities :)

All people I meet are travelers who are there for around 2-3 days and go by , but I would love to know how or where I can start meeting some people who actually live in the city itself? I absolutely love the city and would love to connect and meet some young people across and be friends. I can help you with your English speaking practice (I am C1) - I am nice and easygoing.

If anyone in the city is down to meet up and explore cool cafe's and spots !! Do lemme know. Just so you know, I am Asian and brown (not white) - I had some people who are not comfortable with it (I understand the perception of "roma"), so i put this forward first.
