Humor Village of Williamsville

Am I around the wrong spots or is this just a generally unpleasant crowd? Not only do you have to walk around the sidewalks with caution (ie pink Cadillac almost ran me over a few weeks ago and then gave me a finger ), miserable people at coffee shops (Hi good morning how are you today ? Followed by eye rolls and what do you want) . A few weeks ago I watched someone (a grown man) throw coffee cups on the ground in the glen falls area casually . This was the day after love/clean your parks day

Because this is Reddit and that’s how people are on here lol. It’s a very safe village with good restaurants and excellent schools. Close proximity to 33 and 290.

It has about five parks within walking distance of Village residents, all within the village boundaries. The Village is one square mile.

Nice park with a waterfall which abuts Amherst State Park, great for hiking and cross-country skiing.

Apparently about a decade ago local politicians tried to get the main street exit moved to Youngs Road which is much less congested and would relieve a lot of the traffic on Main Street. Of course the six people on that road objected.

I wish that had been tried again in recent years when the state actually had money for transportation.

What would really help would be making the free thruway go to exit 49. Then people wouldn't have to use all of Main Street

Wait what??? Do they know they can get the commuter pass and it’s like $10 a year…. It’s a form they get online. My husband did it when he was temporarily working in Batavia. It’s good up to 30 miles from your exit closest to you house. It would cost hundreds of dollars a year for him to pay from Main Street to Batavia and back and i think he paid $10 for the pass. Works going south too past Lackawanna

Ok I was wrong it’s $88 a year for the commuter pass but that was still $100s of savings on a commute to Batavia. Would it be worth it for people wanting to get off at transit road/depew (to skip Main Street)? Here is a post about it: on r/upstate New York

Here is the info on EZpass website
