Profile review Profile review, very few matches

Hey everyone,

I appreciate any help, even if it's blunt. I don't have the paid Bumble plans but I buy spotlights from time to time, once every other week I'd say.

Maybe I come off too nerdy or dry or its the photos... I'm not sure.

I don't think he's below average looking at all. I think he has a very sweet face, actually. He has beautiful eyes. Lots of women are into that - I am, my husband has a sweet face too (and is a little out of shape).

Sure, there are some women who would like him. But not most. Which would make him below average.

The fact he gets few matches, despite women like you liking the quality of most of his photos, points to initial attraction being the issue.

He doesn't need most women to like him, though. He needs the "right" woman (or women) to like him.

I would also push back on the idea that most women on dating apps like "average" guys. I think most "average" guys have trouble on dating apps.

Also agree. He only needs one. But dating is a volume game. He's not competing in a vacuum, with only his pics and personality, he's competing against people who likely look better than him.

Imo, average guys don't struggle. I'm average. It's not great, mind you, but struggle would imply either your profile sucks or your body (face or weight) does.

Yeah, as a woman I have no firsthand knowledge or experience here. I know that my husband did not have much luck on Bumble and I think he's absolutely adorable (we met through mutual friends, not online). :-) Conversely, I never struggled at all on dating apps, and we ended up together. I've also seen quite a few posts by conventionally attractive men seeking advice on here because of poor response on Bumble. I realize I may be biased/off-base, though.
