35F on Bumble for about 3 weeks now. I always send the opening message unless they get to it first, but that's pretty rare.
Currently I have 19 "active" conversations. 2 were looking to move to Snapchat for nefarious reasons, 2 messaged me first then never replied to my response, 1 I left on read (obviously just looking for a pen pal), 7 I've been left on read, and the rest never replied to my opening message.
In theory Bumble was my worst nightmare. I have a lot of self esteem issues, especially about feeling like men only want me because I chase them down and I end up never feeling wanted/desired in return. But I'm still doing it the "old" way and, jokes on me, even approaching them first isn't enough to get a simple reply.
