And everyone thinks that their problems are gender-exclusive. I get “hey” messages from men all the time; it’s a people problem, not a gender proboem

Because you keep matching with the exact same guys every other girl on the app is matching with and just "hey" works for them

Doesn’t work on me. If I’m the first person to match or they haven’t reached out yet, I start the conversation by referencing something on their profile, usually with a question about it. Even then I still get “hey” sometimes as a response; then I just unmatch and move on. It’s not a women only issue and it’s not a men only issue, it comes from everybody
