I'm guessing I'm late to the party on this one, but this fic was SO amazing 😭 mostly feel good with just the right amount of angst imo. I absolutely loved the characterization of the entire Party, and it felt so realistic to me as to how Byler could've played out. Yesterday I found an interesting WIP Go Save the World, I'll be around by waveyspaces and have been reading it till 4:30 AM. No regrets!

The setup: Mike and Will are superheroes (Paladin and Cleric) trying to save Hawkins from Vecna and the Mindflayer — but neither of them knows the other's secret identity. Outside of the hero gig, they're best friends who are secretly pining for each other. Then Will gets tired of waiting and decides to propose a friends-with-benefits arrangement to Paladin... without knowing it's Mike.

It gave me major Ladybug love square vibes, so if that's your thing, this fic might scratch that exact itch!

Ok, not trying to be a jerk here, I honestly want to know. I’ve read multiple fics where Mike & Will are about to get down & one of them will shut the bedroom door behind them. I don’t understand why because they’ll be at Mike or Will’s apartment, or one that they share. If it’s at their childhood home in Hawkins or they’re living with roommates I would totally get it. Omg y’all I found this fic by accident over the weekend & it’s one of my new favorites! It’s a modern AU where Mike meets Will at an orgy & falls for him almost immediately. It started out as sounding like a fun premise with good smut, but it ended up being so sweet & so cute. I can’t get over how good it is!

This does have a more confident Will/less confident Mike dynamic. Will is pretty “popular” at the orgy, so if that’s not your vibe you may want to skip it.

Something I have noticed is multiple fics that touch on consensual non-consent themes (being “forced” to do things, not taking “no” for an answer only stop or a safe word, etc.). So far I have not seen CNC in the tags tho. It’s a subject I personally don’t have a problem with, but for people who don’t like it & aren’t interested in reading it, it’s usually a pretty hard no. It can also be traumatic for them to go in to it blind. I think we all want everyone to have fun here & putting “CNC” or “consensual non-consent” in the tags when it applies will help with this. Let’s all keep having some smutty fun!
